FATACLYSM Content Survey and Future Development Direction Poll

Please read this entire post! The Google Form that I link is important in helping to determine how development of FATACLYSM will be proceeding from now on.

The poll below will act as a rough guideline for what content I'll be putting the largest emphasis on moving forward. The Google Form here, however, will be for getting proper insight into what you all like about the game so far and what I should make more of: https://forms.gle/hMaKRVKaMbVTX2SeA

The poll that I've added to the post, however, will be making up the primary focus of development going forward. All of the main 3 options on the poll will happen over time, I just want to know what you all want me to prioritize the most.

Updates will continue, but I just want to outline what the options on this poll will entail.

The first option means that I'll be putting most of my efforts into creating more of the content that's already in the game. Current layers will get expanded with new events, enemies, and endings, characters will get new weight stages with skins, and new party members will occasionally be added. FATACLYSM would be only Penitentiary and Palace for a longer period than with option 2, but the areas would be fleshed out with much more to do.

The second option means that I'll put most of my efforts into developing the third layer of the Expanse. While I'm assuming that most people want this, it'll be much more difficult for me to put out incremental updates when I'm making Layer 3. Content for other areas will be more sparse until the third layer is done, and updates will generally be less frequent. However, once the third layer is finished or is finished enough to be playable, there would likely be a large amount of content added all at once.

The third option excludes the first option less, but it's far more loose in terms of what it entails. However, if you think that FATACLYSM's gameplay loop needs more than just new content to spice it up, then go ahead and vote for that one.

Finally, I'd like to once again reiterate that none of these options are mutually exclusive. All of these will be added to the game over time, and this poll is to simply know what I should focus on first and foremost.

I'm really hoping for new characters to have different party compositions.

Character skins and bad endings are cool, but it would be nice to see the game completed overall. So many games get stuck in the "wouldn't it be cool if" phase

I would put emphasis on endings, people seem to love those.

Just recently joined and saw the message for hard mode. A good idea for balance early to late game, would be that unlocking a weight stage also increases base skills each character starts with. And the core skills can have multiple levels but only if you unlock all of them first. So to get deploy nanites to level 2 you need all others unlocked at lvl 1. This would make it so later when there are 3 or more layers, we can speed through layer one and have issues with enemies who do more damage and have more fat in layers 2, 3 and so on. Then make the skill upgrades we find during the run give a flat rate bonus like 50% more dmg or change dodge to dodge+

I want to see how bad the infection and hex debuffs can get. Having the third layer would make those last a lot longer

Voted Other: While I was going to vote Option 1. I feel like a mix between Options 1 & 2 would be best. Maybe rotate between them on a monthly time frame.

Definitely excited for character skins. I'm guessing you have to buy them from a vendor or something but it'd be cool if you could earn them by playing. I'd love a "skin" that changes the weight gain stages if you give a character the rainbow potion.
