This 100%! It just gets tiresome to here everyone's political agenda in everything these days. There's a lot of media I refuse to even watch or listen to for this specific reason. I have my political podcasts I enjoy but I go into the knowing what to exspect.

Sorry, If my above comment came off as bit strong. I hope it didn't. As my name suggests, I am a currently serving member of one of Her Majesty's forces. I shouldn't have taken the conversation at the end personally but it rubbed me the wrong way and felt a bit insulting.

I miss Pong and Breakout. Dont get me wrong, I love the immersive and interactive experience. But the DLC's, expansions and f'n 'roadmaps' have turned me off. My personal policy is one game, finish it and move on. Right now I'm playing My Time at Portia and its like Stardew Valley but a higher graphics. I am really wanting to play The Outer Worlds (yes on Epic *blah*). But other than that, I don't care about Anthem, DA 4's rumor made me depressed about having another 'live service' (in Skeletor's voice). Because otherwise I would look for a working Atari 2700 and play those frustrating joystick games. By the way, Jim, your sounding better. And your right, fuck anyone who tells anyone to 'smile'.

It isn’t that people don’t want politics in games is that they don’t want cringe inducing obviously corporate bs politics that are ham fisted an example fern gully as a kid even I would roll my eyes every time they brought up old trees or save the trees it was like watching a psa movie rather than a movie now compare that to the secret of nimh which I think was made by the same studio it’s about animal rat experimentation but that only is brought up in the back story scene and unlike fern gully isn’t repeated 100 times

I just logged in to say that while I love most of your work that... Prince Harry is combat war veteran. Prince William was a helicopter air ambulance pilot and Queen Elizabeth is a World War 2 veteran who's father died of lung cancer. EDIT: Harry was 12 and William was 15 when their mom died in a horrible car crash where instead of helping people just took photos. For you three to suggest that they are out of touch or imply that they don't understand hardship came off as a bit, ignorant, haughty and somewhat gauche. EDIT: And yes I do concede that they chose to be in the military.

I may have said this before but when people say “take your politics out of my X” they mean “take your opposing viewpoint out. All narratives contain some form of politics it’s impossible for it not to if it’s made by a human. The Tortoise and the Hare is about how just because you’re born with skill and privilege doesn’t mean you can’t still be incompetent while someone who has to struggle to get by still has the potential for success. The reason a lot of people don’t realize their “x” has political influences is because they agree with it and therefore don’t see it as politics but just the way it is.
