Garbage Nintendo's Gacha Garbage Is Garbage (The Jimquisition)

Mario Kart Tour is total rubbish, which is par for the course when it comes to Nintendo's boring mobile games.

Loot boxes, frustration, bad controls, Mario Kart Tour has it all. More crucially, its glorified Battle Pass nonsense, the Gold Pass, looks absolutely abysmal next to the recent launch of Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass.

Nintendo doesn't really care about the mobile platform, but it's using the market to make tons of cash anyway.

I think it's at least fair to Nintendo to say 'it sucks, but at least they're only being con artists in the mobile field instead of EVERYTHING'.

this episode is an example of why I have to watch Jim's videos with headphones.

Remember when mobile was an exciting new medium for the industry and nob heads were going on how it wasn't Real Gaming? We were so innocent.

Jim, whatever little filming tricks you and Justin were implementing during the outro - spot on mate! Great work, it's being appreciated by at least one viewer :)

*chef's kiss* Brilliant video, brilliant amount of trolling. I'm really enjoying the new color scheme. :)

I've been so disappointed by how sleazy Nintendo mobile games are. Animal Crossing basically shit the bed when they introduced lootboxes ("cookies") that cost a fortune for a high chance at dupes. I quit Fire Emblem for the same reason.

My theory is companies are using anger against loot boxes to PROMOTE thier game! They are using our rage and hatred to get more press and eyes on a product. If enough people complain they put out a "sorry, we are figuring this out, we made a mistake and will lessen the montaziation scheme" then everyone applauds the company for being greddy @#$@s!

Super Mario Run was a decent mobile game, and you only had to pay once and get access to the entire game which I thought was extremely fair given that you had free access to the first few levels. It would be generous to say Dr. Mario isn't trying to get into your wallet. Sure it might be fun work the puzzles, but all those levels are chances for the game to give terrible RNG and then go in for the kill. I can't imagine Mario Kart Tour is any better.
