Muscles Of The Apocalypse (The Jimquisition)

The Last of Us Part 2 is a neverending nightmare of discourse, and the outrage hasn't stopped. By far the most absurdly controversial aspect remains Abby, a character whose existence has been offered up for debate by weirdos.

Abby's swole build has been called into question by a bunch of boys desperate to erase anybody who doesn't fit into their tiny idea of what "real" women should look like. To do this, they've gone to amazing lengths to argue why Abby shouldn't be muscular.

It's an absolute roller coaster of nonsense, let me tell you.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ‘most women have big boobs’ tell that to all the stores who don’t cater to women who need larger cup sizes you big man babies. Get a grip.

Also, regarding your outro comment about your own gender, as a boring white cishet guy, I offer what little emotional support I can. (This comment inspired by a recent Casey Explosion tweet.)

Excellent music choices and sound editing!

Great episode. It's horrible that "real gamers" are more concerned about the appearance of a female character looking the way they want than the abusive practices of the industry. It reminds me of football fans who don't want to hear about how the NFL treats its players and covered up the extent of injuries, just as long as they're entertained.

No one's said it here yet? Really? Cool, I get to be first! J. K. Rowling is a TERF EDIT: Also, Harry Potter was never that great.

Twit In A Hat

Great stuff again. Well done.

WOOT LOVE IT! Thank you for this! :D

Been watching for years, decided to support you because of this video. This kind of nonsense has really got to stop, especially the rule 34 crap. If you're playing games to make deposits in the spank bank then you really need to take a look at yourself. EDIT: I feel it's important to mention that this video is what broke the camel's back in regards to becoming a patron, but it was the Ubisoft videos that pushed me there. I don't read gaming sites, mostly just watch YouTube, and you're the only one I've seen on there even bring this up.

I'm very happy to see the Duke Amile du H'ardcore!!!!

I realize that going to a gym regularly is probably a foreign concept to Real Gamers (tm), but they should give it a try sometime. They’ll see lots of women with muscle, and maybe realize how silly this whole thing is. Joel was also a piece of shit who deserved to get golfed. Oh, and a large percentage of medieval Spain was Moorish (ie African and/or Muslim), so lots of very not white people should *definitely* be in Mordhau

"Relationship with their gender has been a little... egghhh" Oh wow. I know exactly what you mean.

Sphinx of Black Quartz

Joel was shit you've more than earned my money Jim. Thank god for you.

I have some female friends who have worked as nurses for a couple of decades. They are pretty muscular, having to manhandle people every day. I imagine if one of these 'gamers' went to hospital they'd complain that the nurses aren't in sexy outfits with big tits and wasp-like waists.

EDIT: just unpaused the ending of the video, so I guess there's my answer. I should really learn to watch EVEN the outro, before writing a comment I get that this person said it themselves, and that it's not the smartest thing around and that language on the internet is always a bit stronger than in real life, but I think it's counterproductive to call these biases "stupid." First, this may be my linguistic hangup, but it makes me feel like this is a matter of intelligence, like smart people have fewer cultural/societal baggage. Meanwhile, I think the people who have these biases will be more likely to let them go and admit to themselves they were wrong if media didn't antagonize them. Just my two cents. To give an idea of what kind of person is saying this, I haven't played this game, and looking at the footage I would probably have had a short moment of "is this a man or a woman?" before going "oh, it's a woman" and thinking nothing more of it (except maybe later wondering why I wondered about that.)

This kind of thing is why I don't talk to 'gamers'. Though I have a lot of friends who play video games. And before she passed away from a disease that attacked her spine, I knew a woman who worked as a body guard and routinely lifted 600 pound weights over her head. Her arms were massive. I also used to work with a baker who had arms easily twice the meat of Abby's, just from constantly stirring bread dough. Heck my grandmother's got arms almost as big as Abby's from running a trap line and piling wood... anyone who has to haul 4 beaver carcasses through 10 miles of bush on the regular will have guns. Someone TRYING to have muscles will get them.

I came to patreon to support just based off this video (my partner has been watching you for years, though, and I've always enjoyed listening in to that craaayzie games world news). Keep on keeping on, sir!

Stop worrying about Abby's muscles, True Gamers. She can't come out of the monitor and beat you up, she's fictional. You can relax.
