Boston's Favorite Son: Don't Let The Slunge Dry

I mentioned in an earlier post that I want to try and be better at letting you know about extracurricular content, rather than assume you don't want to hear about it. So anyway, here's the latest episode of Boston's Favorite Son, a bad comedy podcast.

If you've never heard it before, don't worry, you can start from literally anywhere. It's all a sorry mess and continuity isn't a thing.

Old fans of my stuff might recall that myself, Conrad Zimmerman, and the beautiful Jonathan Holmes have had a strange relationship for years. The latest horrible manifestation of that friendship is Boston's Favorite Son, a podcast where we try to make Jonathan famous because he was seriously on Road Rules (not the popular seasons) and we're furious he's not a star. He isn't interested.

So anyway, in this episode, we talk about Slunge, Jonathan becomes the friendly face of sleep paralysis, AM gets involved, and Willem Dafoe rides a bus.

And sorry for the "power of friendship" slop; am just finishing Scarlet Nexus so I've just about had enough of that...eh......but the point still stands.

Just suddenly had a mild epiphany about this bizarre, delightfully upsetting podcast. I think I get joy from listening over and over knowing that you three have gotten so comfortable with each other to create they abomination that is Boston's Favorite Son over and over. I'm fortunate enough to still have great friendships like that, but so many lack that in their lives. I think, and hope, your listeners love what you do because of who you three are in this regard, and we all will have the courage to open up to our friends like you all have.

The shattered appreciate every minute of this. I remember saying when the patreon started that a huge part of the reason why I'm a supporter is your so-called 'side content' and I'd like to reiterate that now - podtoid, dismal jesters, fistshark... it's all gold.

Every single episode is a riot to listen to and can always make me laugh, though its admittedly hard to recommend to some people given the nature of whats discussed. Those I have recommended it to have loved it

I have a smile on my face just knowing there is a new episode to enjoy! The three of you are such a delight to listen to, and I can never get enough! Thank you!

Most of what I come up is purely to see what Jonathan will say.

Jim Sterling

When it's at its best, this podcast is all about Johnathan's reactions to the filth that comes out of Jim's mouth. The skits are funny but the reason I listen is for Jonathan being an outraged gentle kind soul.

I'm glad Jim's mentioning Boston's Favorite Son here. I follow it, but I have to always manually check for updates. If he actually starts updating it here, then I'm set. Also, while it is a podcast full of bad comedy, it's one of my favorite podcasts in recent times (following FistShark, of course, though there's extra charm of you lot just chatting now and then). Anyway, keep up the good work, Jim!

I think Jim's brain has finally turned completely to porridge. This isn't even amusing.

I thought Willem Defoe was still riding the bat wings he stole from the Spiderman movie.
