Hello you swanky lot!

As I write this, I’m juggling a review of Mafia: The Old Country, drafting a historical document of Vampire Survivors’ Dairy Plant, and hydrating after moving a bunch of furniture and arranging my Boglin display. I’m also on a bit of an emotional one, so thought I’d take the time to drop a note of thanks to everyone.

I’ve said thank you a lot over the past 10+ years of Patreon, so much so I worry about it ringing hollow, like when two embittered married people say “I love you” out of habit rather than any genuine feeling. Honestly though, how could I not be grateful for you literally giving me a decade-long media career?

I’m bringing this up in particular because we’re now at a point in my video hiatus where I’m receiving emails and social media messages from people who miss the show, and their sentiments are heartwarming as all fuck. While I was having a particularly sad one today, an email from a lovely Iain came in with that simple sentiment, and it cheered me up.

As I may have indicated in the last update, this house move has been one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, all while a book deadline looms and I need to start writing for a new game project I signed up for. Didn’t help that I lost a few days to illness and still have a ton of unpacking to do. Arrrrggghhhhh!

I say all that not for sympathy - though I never turn it down - but to really highlight how genuinely good for me it’s been that y’all have made me feel okay taking that hiatus. I think I would have had an actual breakdown if I was still trying to do a show every week during all this.

So yeah, thank you again. Immensely expressed.

Anyway, Phee and I have some furniture to move around still, and I have Mafia and Milk to write about. Will have more updates soon, including stuff about returning to videos, and I’ll have some reviews on the horizon.
