2024-08-11 18:42:40 +0000 UTCSomething they didn't add in the anime that I think would have really cemented Aokiji's allegiances that was in the manga was when he said "I'm living the way I want to now" it was followed by a character card of "Aokiji, the tenth ship captain of the Blackbeard pirates." It coincided with his convictions and was used as a reveal of where he really stands.

Something that caught my eye with Garp, and is shown by Luffy, was when he said, “Those that waver are weak.” I believe it relates to Haki and why Garp is so strong and Luffy will reach the top. Neither doubt themselves. They move forward regardless of setbacks. I think that’s the reason Garp would put Luffy in dangerous situations.
