Concept art #11: Dr. Cava

You all seen a bit of what Henosis will look like in the next update, so it's time to introduce one of its inhabitants!
Dr. Leyo Cava (lay-oh saw-vah) [a as in alien, oh as in only, a as in also x2]
Urtu are required a tour of military service, but not everybody has what it takes to be an Urtu grunt. Thankfully for young Leyo, the Dogmatic Science, Research, and Development Corps had uses even for nervous, wimpy urtu youths totally lacking in bloodlust. Unfortunately for young Leyo, most of those uses boiled down to invasive experimentation, torture, and vivisection in the name of the Empire.
A deal with Vas got Dr. Cava out of that queasy situation, and into a small office on Henosis, but his future is unclear. The Urtu Military machine doesn't often tolerate lost cogs.
The current design might still be altered some, but I think he already looks kinda neat, huh? What do you guys think? Any other characters you would like to see in VoidBound?

"K" sound with "a", "o" and "u", "s" sound with "e", "i" and "y", some languages offer ways around it, like using a cedilla "¸", "ç", "Ç"

2020-09-06 17:45:37 +0000 UTCWell it's more to do with the oddity that is the English language. Here are some examples: Car => Starts with "c" but is actually pronounced with the "k" sound. Cent => Starts with "c" as well but is actually pronounced with the "s" sound. As you can see, our good Doctor seems to fall under the latter category with the "saw" effect being a product of some form of pronunciation accent. Galaxy is a vast entity. Literally the space is the limit when it comes to strange things :)
