RISE OF BANGTAN CHAPTER 2 REACTION!
Added 2025-04-12 12:00:11 +0000 UTCGuys, we're continuing with The Rise of Bangtan and in episode 2, we learn so much more about the boys ๐ฅน It feels like we see more behind the scenes with debuting their first album and also how they go straight to work with their second (and release two albums in one year?!) ๐คฏ One thing we found so inspiring from episode 2 is honestly their work ethic - Jungkook working on his 17th birthday, the boys going straight back to work on debut (when you might expect them to take a small break) and their long practice days ๐ฐ What did you guys inspiring from The Rise of Bangtan episode 2? ๐

2025-04-22 16:22:48 +0000 UTCOne time, BTS was reacting to their debut stage and Jhope said he could see the passion in their eyes, but V said no, it's the eyeliner. I just thought of that when Gabs brought up the eyeliner ๐ญ๐ญ

2025-04-15 03:03:15 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as per. I hated this prank on JK but to be fair, it wasn't the worst. He was even "kidnapped" at one point and it was horrendous to watch. The pranking between members goes above and beyond at times..you can see loads in the Bon Voyage series. ๐ซฃ

2025-04-13 18:45:57 +0000 UTCYou know what's funny Gabs is that you're wearing a Mona Lisa shirt just like the latest J-hope single (real Italian Gabs, just like me)

2025-04-13 13:34:28 +0000 UTCPersonally I donโt think it matters unless itโs a professional matter. I fully know the difference but in casual settings especially typing on the internet, I think no matter which you use, the message is clear enough. Especially to other English speakers. I categorize it as internet slang honestly. Like how we say โurโ The point of language is to convey thoughts and if I use your instead of youโre in most cases it does not keep others from understanding what I mean. Ive felt for a while that most people donโt really care about it unless the person that did it is being an asshole/pissing them off. And thatโs an entirely different issue than being hyper particular about casual speaking grammar

2025-04-13 02:54:21 +0000 UTCI didnโt like that prank on Jk that one is worse than the American hustle life prank. Yes they were all super young during their debut year ages 15-20. They were all children. And yes that was definitely hate Jimin was getting from his friends. Because Idc if itโs a talent school Iโm gonna be happy for my friend know all the hard work they put in for their dream. Jimmy fallon is the best American host for BTS they have a very amazing work relationship. The respect goes both ways. I love all Jimmy fallon and BTS content

2025-04-12 22:54:10 +0000 UTCBTS had no clue that they would get so successful. When they blew up blew up in 2018 the fame was a lot and they were actually talking about disbanding. Their documentaries the ones done by them really go into their deep thoughts and struggles. Iโd definitely recommend all of their docu series and the movies that go with them. These series document them on the road and touring. So there is also full concerts that pair with the documentary

I always appreciate you pausing to discuss your thoughts on certain parts. TROB is so good for perspective on the industry and biases. The prank always gets me a little heated lol poor jk ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

2025-04-12 20:56:54 +0000 UTCYou two are so funny, and I love watching your journey! About their school... once they became trainees and moved to school, those who had not graduated transferred to local performing arts schools, which cater to a lot of aspiring and debuted idols. Jimin and V attended Korean Arts High School. In that particular setting, debut isn't as shocking as it would be in their home town schools. Also, although they had starting building a fan base, they did not have immediate success, and were not super well received right off the bat. It's hard to wrap our minds around, seeing where they are now, but they really struggled for a long time. For example, you mentioned how their costumes were so appropriate for 2013. They actually got mocked because those were cheap knock-offs because their company didn't have money for designer labels.

2025-04-12 20:50:34 +0000 UTCso v was actually a hidden member. everyone thought bts was suppose to be a 6 member group but then got surprised with V's appearence when the group debuted since V had never made an appearance during their predebut. The management was afraid that if they revealed Taehyung before BTS's debut, bigger companies at that time (SM, JYP and YG) will woo Taehyung with better offers. Therefore, they kept him hidden. Taehyung used to record video diaries logs just like other members did but his videos were never posted until they debuted as 7.

2025-04-12 14:24:21 +0000 UTCEvery time I watch these early episodes of ROB Im always in awe of their work ethic because these guys were basically teenagers, especially JK who was 16 at that time. Like I remember just hanging out and having fun with my friends at 16!! AND Namjoon was only 19 and he was the leader....the way he spoke back then at 19 was already so eloquent and you can already see all the leadership qualities he possessed. How he was able to bear all that responsibility is amazing to me. The hate on them already started once they debuted. You'll see this in the upcoming episodes. How they all got through that is beyond me! But I guess that's why they become so close to each other and have this deep relationship with ARMY now.

2025-04-12 14:19:20 +0000 UTCI am just gonna go on a spree here and comment my thoughts hahaha (sorry for the long comment): Comparing the music shows in Korea to "talent" shows is not exactly accurate. I would actually say it's more of a live chart show. Basically there is a different chart show streaming on TV in Korea every day of the week. And artists use these shows to promote their comebacks and when they win on these shows it's huge, especially when they are still considered small... For example, Tomorrow by Together (TXT), which are considered BTS' junior group, actually won multiple times with their debut song, which is super rare. Usually it takes some time and a couple of comebacks to win on one of these shows, especially more competitive ones like MCountdown, Music Bank or Inkigayo. These music shows are still very relevant for promotion in Korea today and they attract massive viewing even worldwide from Kpop fans. Even way more established groups and solo artists promote on these shows. I watch MCountdown and Music Bank quite often actually. BTS did a great job to build a fanbase even before they debuted, so that's why you can hear their fanchants already on their debut stage. They mostly did it with behind the scenes footage and the vlogs that you see on here, which they posted on YouTube. A lot of groups nowadays already start promoting online with either "survival shows" (although that happens only when the groups get created through survival shows, like Stray Kids or ENHYPEN did) or vlogs or other types of content before they start debuting so that when they do end up debuting they have already created a loyal fanbase. You really need to react to their debut song "No More Dream". IT'S A BANGER!!! Your reactions to the live performance says it all! Their choreo is fire!! Honestly to be a fan from the very start and to be able to go to their first fan signs and what not is incredible... Like I don't think they even imagined back then how big they would become and neither did ARMY back then. So unlike most Western artists, it is common for Kpop groups to release 1-2 albums a year (sometimes even more if they are mini albums) because there are so many groups releasing albums that you have to stay relevant especially during your debut years otherwise the audience can quickly forget about you. What I like about Rise of Bangtan is that it not only portrays the boys' journey very well but it also teaches you a lot about the industry and Korean culture in general. The later episodes dive way more into the boys' journey as they grew more popular.
