As a Southern Californian I can say our dead hillsides aren't quite as yellow, though we're the "Golden Coast" ;) This is the only of your maps I'll go with the LS version as the yellow is too jarring, at least for my preference, and most of the landscape is more of a brown/sandy desert feel more than this but still great design and remake. Love especially what you did with the added buildings out to the coastline and how you expanded the freeway - if only traffic was like this, could you imagine!
