"The Creative Process" Blog Post #1

So this is a new reward for the Fiverr Club and up. At least once a week, I'm gonna do these little blog posts to let you in on the creative process! You guys give me feedback and lemme know if you find this interesting, and if it's a reward you want me to continue with!

Soooo, today, I recorded two audios. I'm supposed to be on vocal rest, due to a blood vessel issue on my vocal cords... but I got inspired and decided I could work for an hour, surely. :) I know, I know, I'm stubborn. But, the inspiration was kind of interesting in how it originated.

Inspiration for audios comes in all sorts of ways, from different convos with my girl, experiences in life, or even from listening to other artists. But this week, I had a Twitter discussion going on what you guys would do if you ever recognized me in public by my voice. There were some pretty hilarious and entertaining answers, and I had such a blast reading through them! Then I got to thinking... "hey, that would actually make a pretty fun audio idea..."

Now, typically, I write scripts for my audios. But late, I've been going rogue and just hitting "record", and then talking, letting whatever happens happen. This was one of those days. So I sat down in front of the mic with the prompt in my head, "a fan approaches me in a coffee shop and asks if I'm Aussie Ben", and I just started rolling with it.

When I improvise audios, I picture the whole scene in my head. I really let myself "go there", and I typically don't do a lot of "redos". So what you hear in the audio is my true first reaction to what I picture YOU saying. I'm pleased with how the audio turned out, and you guys will get to hear it soon!!
