"The Creative Process" blog post

Hey guys. It’s been awhile since I’ve done a “creative process” blog for you! So I thought I would give you guys a little sneak peek into the creative process behind the new series, “The Hunt”. As any series usually starts for me, I was just sitting at my laptop working on scripts.
Then, I wound up scrolling through my older google docs, and I came across an unfinished script I’d started like over a year ago! I started reading it, and originally, it was just a bartender scene where the listener’s ex-boyfriend is being a jerk and the bartender defends her. But I liked the bartender character so much, I began thinking, “Hmmmm…. Maybe there’s more to these two characters than just a one-off role play.”
So I began developing the story a little and before long, I’d taken it back to a different fantasy era; an era of dragons, beasts, hunters and witches. Haha! And as it happened with “The Prince and the Servant Girl”, I pretty much wrote the whole series in one sitting. At the moment, I’m still working on the last two episodes, trying to figure out how it ends. I’ve written 2 or 3 different endings so far. And maybe that’ll be a patreon reward some time…. Letting you read the alternate versions. :)
