Why My Patrons Get More...
Added 2020-06-21 13:30:13 +0000 UTCI have been thinking lately about our amazing patron community. We are growing, and we are seeing such incredible generosity and support going toward the creation of the audios that brought us all together in the first place.
There are 15,000 tribe members on YouTube, and only about 300 or so of you that have chosen to join the Patreon Tribe. You are a small, unique and very special family, and it is you that holds the whole channel together. Think about it... 300 of you are literally making my channel possible for the 15,000....
You’re special to me and it’s not because of the money. It’s because there are people who are in the trenches with me. Keeping my channel going is HARD work. Do you realize I have not missed a Monday upload in 2.5 years?
That is because you’ve made my time available for that level of dedication. It is because you order custom audios that give me audio ideas I would have never thought of on my own. It’s because you show up to group script writing session and inspire amazing ideas and keep me excited about recording them.
I pity the creators who are alone in keeping their channel going, honestly. The ones who don’t have a community like we have. You have no idea how humbling and encouraging it is for me to have 300 people who have said “Ben, I want to not only consume your content and take, but I want to give back into your channel and help.”
That is why you get more than YouTube does. Now don’t get me wrong, we LOVE our YouTube tribe. And I never shame or look down on anyone who chooses to participate solely on YouTube.
But we (not just I) WE... are the ones who feed the 15,000. Without us working together and sacrificing like a family, there’d be nothing for the rest. I am GRATEFUL for you, and I will always always give above and beyond to you, because you too give above and beyond.
