2022-07-19 12:15:54 +0000 UTCThat was a VERY good catch from you that Buffy wasn't in hell. I didn't get that from the get go during my first watch. I thought she was just disoriented the way Angel was when he came back from a hell dimension in season 3. I feel like we've been crying since Joyce died and Joss hasn't let us stop since. It's been so clear that Buffy's been depressed since losing her mom and, yeah, she died to save her sister and the world, it was her duty, but she was also finally at peace and happy that it was over. Maybe even get reunited with her mom in heaven. Now that she's back, that depression just got so much worse.
