OH MY GOD I never even THOUGHT that this wasn't the first time Willow has done this to Tara!! I never thought about that flower just being there, ready for her to use. Sofie...You're the absolute best Buffy reactor out there. Yeah, Willow's going dark and it's really not surprising cuz the people who started out with none, once they get a taste of it, they can't control wanting more. I feel so bad for Tara. She deserves so much more. She deserves the Willow that wanted to take care of her forever even if she never recovered from Glory, not this power hungry Willow

I agree with everything except the resurrection spell cause she. Tara knew it would only work on a mystical death. Now the secret ingredient that Willow definitely hid but it doesn't necessarily take magic to accomplish that.

You thought the episode was about Dawn and some vampire, when the episode was really the beginning of the main characters flying out of control; Willow abusing magic, Xander freaking out about the realities of marriage (and perhaps adulthood in general), and Buffy trying to shift responsibility to other people (mostly Giles). The only reason Dawn was in trouble with vampire dude was because Buffy wasn’t willing to put her foot down and tell Dawn not to go out.

I didn’t always care for this episode much because it just reminded me of the “eh” monster of the week episodes from the beginning of the series (not that I dislike all of those types of episodes; i guess it just feels like ive seen this before in some aspects) but i gotta say Ive watched another reactor recently, and this one and I realize there’s a lot of little gems here that seem to be pushing the plot to the direction the season is going to take that i may have overlooked in the past. That’s why I love Buffy and ive been watching since I was 8 yrs old so Ive seen it through all different lenses as Ive grown these past 20+ years! It’s amazing how the show can change with you through life but no matter how old, it will always continue to be my version of a security blanket (where i can hide from reality for a bit lol). I can’t wait for the next episode. It’s definitely one of my favorite and I think a few others might agree =)

Great reaction Sofie! A couple of things I wanted to mention, you're absolutely right about Willow already having the ingredients for the forget spell readily available and she didn't have any hesitation about using it. You asked in 6x1 Bargaining why Tara was going along with the resurrection spell when she was so opposed to it with Joyce? Certainly makes you wonder about Willow's other uses on Tara. In addition, remember in Something Blue, Willow said that she wished that she knew a spell to make Oz stay with her and she tried to do delusting spell on Xander in Lover's Walk without his knowledge or consent. It's actually fascinating how this has been years in the making with her character.
