I forgot to write that my suggestion for pausing would only work if you restart exactly where you stopped. Any rewind would need a more complicated way to re-synchronize.

Sofie, it's perfectly normal that the copyright owners would not let you play the whole episode. It had an advantage though. Pausing the video could be done without any consequences since there was no need for us to re-synchronize. Ironically, you kept apologizing every time you paused anyway. In the watch along format, I would prefer that you continue doing pauses but you definitely have to adopt a procedure to keep us synchronized. May I suggest « I will pause now, three, two, one, pause...I will restart know, three, two, one, start. »?

HBO has always been super shitty about copyright stuff. They were at the forefront of the "prosecute people for illegal downloads" push that happened a few years back. Another reactor I briefly followed ran into problems with True Blood, which is a real shame since it's one I wish more reactors would cover. I'm not here for GOT but do whatever you have to do, my friend, and I'm sure folks will be fine with it. Thank you for everything🙂👍

oh wow its so weird the policies for it cuz those people been doing it for years and havent said anything about it. I wonder if you put "all copy rights go to hbo" in text on the reactions, i've seen people do that on both platforms. With vimeo you can make it private and put a password for us and it'll allow you to have full reactions

It’s so frustrating cause some reactors reacted to the full GOT and House of The Dragon the same way and stayed clean the entire time. They really do pick and choose who to send warning to!

Also I know one reactor that’s make her reaction videos private. Like, she post the link on her page but you need a password to watch it. So, maybe that would help you.

YouTube has a better process for this as long as you show just few minutes of the show but Patreon doesn't seem to have any such thing.

Just outa curiosity, does manipulating the video not help with copy rights like on YouTube where you make the episode transparent or put words covering a small area of the screen? Or is that just YouTube? I understand this could take much more time so just a question not a request 👍

It's illegal no matter what the platform is. The only difference is those reactors haven't been noticed by the production companies.

the other patreons ive seen usually use google drive/google photos or vimeo to post full reactions. They are able to post the full scenes for GOT so maybe those platforms can help prevent this?

It depends on the production company and how long you can go under the radar. The more followers you get the most likely you'll get in trouble.
