2023-12-24 03:09:10 +0000 UTCThe context of when Wesley said that is important as it was said on Fred's deathbed. Of course he's going to say flowery things in an attempt at cheering her up. Also, in Wesley's head, maybe Fred has no flaws, or maybe Fred's flaws are exactly why he loves her? Not trying to be argumentative, but the idea that Wesley doesn't truly see her because he's not pointing out her flaws when she's dying in pain is a strange interpretation to me.

2023-10-22 20:08:24 +0000 UTCGunn absolutely did not deserve this. They ALL chose to join Wolfram & Hart. And, over the course of months, they have all done far more nefarious and directly harmful things (like letting their evil clients roam free) than signing a document to let an unknown item through customs. Fred's death is much more due to their collective decision to join and Fred's own handling of the sarcophagus than it is on Gunn. The team is being way way too hard on him. And, I'm very sorry, but I must raise this again. Wesley on his own is a great character, Fred on her own is a great character, but their pairing is not healthy or romantic. Wesley's "I've loved you even before I met you" is not romantic, it is emblematic of how he idealises her and doesn't truly see her for the flawed human person she is instead of his perfect dream woman. Any judgement that he makes stemming from this, including his treatment of Gunn, I personally do not agree with.
