2024-07-07 04:30:10 +0000 UTCThis story was originally planned to run at least 5 seasons. I think this episode, out of the entire run, had to do the most legwork. There was a ton of plot to advance in a very short amount of time to get us where we're going, but there are a lot of little moments here that you may revisit later. You picked up on basically everything, but I particularly enjoyed your insights into what it means for a complicated character like Echo to have a relationship at all.

They started the show with a five-season plan and had to scrap a bunch and change some stuff to finish the show off. If you’re curious afterward, as with both the Buffyverse and Firefly, they made comics to fill in some of the gaps.
