This time we're doing lord of the rings the fellowship of the ring '' A fantasy Movie series'' and another SINGLE MOVIE that you well get to choose.
the fellowship of the ring will be in 2 parts since I'm watching the extended version.
So, here we have our genre poll for this month.
After a few days, I willl choose 3-5 movies from your prior suggestions to determine what single movie we are going to watch along side our movie series pick LOTR.

2024-09-14 07:51:04 +0000 UTCThere is an actually rather small, but incredibly loud and very toxic part of the Star Wars fanbase that hates anything new that is not exactly like the old Star Wars movies. They've made it their life's goal to spam every comment section with their hate and make it seem they're the majority. Many of them just hate the new trilogy because the leads are female or black. Of course some people have other reasons to dislike the movies, but a lot of people who hate them are misogynists and/or racists. If you want to see what most people ACTUALLY think about the new Star Wars movies, then I humbly suggest you check imdb.com or Cinemascore, and not listen to random individual opinions on the internet. As for "ruining" the old movies, I've never understood how it would be possible for new movies to ruin old ones. Those people are just being dramatic and looking to let off steam. With all that being said, of course it's your decision if you want to watch the new Star Wars movies or not. Or to use a quote from Oz: "Whatever you decide, I'll back your play." :-)

They’re definitely blockbusters and not necessarily a masterpiece of their time like the originals, and if you could stomach Jar Jar… I feel like people who want to complain about the integrity of the storytelling in an online forum are probably taking it way too seriously. It also has a strong female lead and a particular breed of very vocal nerds hate when their male dominated franchise starts to respect women 🫣 All that to say, take the hate with a very large grain of nerdy salt.
