Important Update Re: Future of LVPhotoworks
Added 2024-10-19 20:41:22 +0000 UTCDue to iOS billing, Patreon is forcing all creators to switch subscriptions to 30 days from days of pledge. This changes a lot of things but at the same time it doesn't. Im going to try to explain everything concisely here:
I'm still going to roll out content in "months". That is, at the start of each month is a new feature model and content along with it. This is what suits my creation process best, and always will. It also ensures that I always steadily release new content so that's a good thing!!!
Video and Photo Vaults: Let's be honest - $25 for the photo and video vaults is a ridiculous value. The amount of content in there is STUPID to give away at that price. That said, I'm still going to do it, HOWEVER Vault Access will be separate from that months "feature" content.
VAULT ACCESS: This is what's REALLY important moving forward- I've had people take advantage of me not paying attention often (people will lower their pledge from $25 to $5, and Patreon doesn't notify me of that - I have to look it up myself- and they know they're doing it and leech Vault access for over a year before I find it). With the subscription model changing, I'm going to have to start restricting Vault access after 24 HOURS of your cancelation - it's the only way to keep up with it, I'm afraid. I'd love to have an honor system in play but if people took advantage of the system already so they're going to keep pushing it now.
