2025-11-01 08:57:09 +0000 UTCThe prolonged fight between Hordy and Zoro is filler, including Zoro using Lion's Song (which is a pre-timeskip attack to cut metal or other hard stuff, so it doesn't fit at all). The point of Luffy easily defeating Vander Decken, even while tied up, and Zoro easily defeating Hordy, even while underwater, was to show off their growth and how this arc isn't about them being challenged, strength-wise. We're not in the New World yet, after all.
