Theyโre so deep in the moment that they are fusing together, Kateโs using her powers to go through Illyana and you can see sheโs also involuntarily using them on her left hand from how tight is her grip. Magik powers serve as an extra help rather than a merging element, they donโt have enough hands so they use their resources.
