QoS Comix is at a crisis point.
Added 2025-01-15 14:36:23 +0000 UTCDear Patrons & Fans,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out with a heart full of gratitude for those who actively support our modest Patreon site. I wholeheartedly appreciate our incredible active supporters - this message is not for you. You guys are amazing. However, over the past six months, QoS Comix has been facing challenges with sign-ups, and we're at a pivotal moment where your support could make all the difference.
For those who have been with us, you know how much our comics mean to both our community and to me personally. We've created a space where enthusiasts of various kinks can enjoy their fantasies in the safe, creative confines of our comics.
Despite our efforts, the current trend of low sign-ups makes it increasingly difficult to sustain our operations. We actively support many artists who work with us to produce sexy, fun content that maintains a high level of quality, considering we're a small operation with less than 150 active supporters right now. Additionally, piracy has significantly impacted us this year. Our content, which we work hard to produce, has been widely shared without consent, reducing our income and threatening our ability to continue.
Please Support:
If you've been considering upgrading your pledge or know someone who might be interested in joining our community, now is the time. Your support directly contributes to keeping our content rich, our community vibrant, and our silly little comics alive.
Why It's Urgent:
Currently, we actively post 10 artistic posts of new pages & toons EVERY WEEK, 52 weeks a year for well over 5 years. Without a significant increase in support, we face the very real possibility of having to scale back or eventually maybe even needing to pause our activities. This would not only impact the content we produce but also the community we've built together. Your help now could prevent this from happening.
Our comix are NOT POSSIBLE without support. I am sure there are many of you have enjoyed our works over the years even if you haven't been a paying supporter. If there is any part of you that would be sad to see that again yet another thing that you love stops being produced, please reconsider helping.
Please, if you can, consider supporting us at this critical time. Your patronage isn't just a donation; it's a vote of confidence in our comics.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Let's keep the magic of QoS Comix alive together.
With heartfelt thanks,
Devin Dickie & Creative Friends

2025-02-01 19:25:28 +0000 UTCSuch a big fan of this Patreon and the work you do, so here’s what I’d love for you to offer to help me be a repeat customer: The majority of the content isn’t for me. There’s some artists whose work I just don’t vibe with (no shade, just not for me). I subscribe for access to 1 or 2 ongoing comics and the entry level price is too much for the access to just those comics. Is there a way of implementing purchases? I would LOVE to pay for access to the two comics I really enjoy. Otherwise I can’t justify the expense and will just subscribe once every three months or so to get caught up, then cancel again.

2025-02-01 19:16:27 +0000 UTCYou couldcreate a $5 Dollar tier or a free tier without having to comission any new work. Just trickle down older comics from higher tiers at a slower rate than they do in their respective tiers. That way they only fall further behind, but you can some eyes to your patreon and can tease them to upgrade. Then the free tier you also double post to like, a tumblr equivalent or some sort of social media to spread it, maybe a week behind your patreon version so that it encourages them to click on your patreon to catch up a week now. And since those tiers will be playing catch up, you can focus on delivering chunks of one story at a time so your viewers can get imvested in a story and get momentum.

2025-01-18 09:00:36 +0000 UTCTo be fair, a lot of the content in Femdom and Beyond doesn't fit into your core base of interracial cuckolding. The Green orcs and blue aliens aren't very relatable. Keep races standard. But go beyond your usual settings. Like, set a story in the American South during the slave trade, then twist alternate history and flip the slave master relationship on it's head. Make mini stories in a bwno government, to help world build a sexy dystopic society. Travel back to the moors invasion of Europe maybe?

2025-01-18 08:55:08 +0000 UTCI get piracy is going to happen, but at this point they often shadow our site on search engines. There is absolutely nothing I can do to combat it. In terms of story releases, I can only post what is incoming schedule wise from artists. I can't tell you just how varied everyone's favorite comics are. I've asked my patrons many times what their faves are, the absence of those comics would cause even more people to leave. I may have 30 people that love Spinning Out of Control, but then I have another 30 people waiting for Black Gold or Hiring a Sissy. concentrating on one or two comics would alienate those fans.

2025-01-17 09:01:06 +0000 UTCThe leaks are what brought me to the patreon, currently full access member. I understand why they are frustrating and costly but what funnel do you have to bring in new members? I'm don't usually discuss my kinks with friends. Google (image) searches are all i have to lead me down rabbit holes. IMO the story release rate is frustratingly slow, 1 story can take months to climax and get to the good parts. If it's 10 slides per week maybe do 2 stories start to finish within a month. Perfect examples "Convention Conversion" "Spinning out of Control" Been waiting months to finally enjoy these comics

2025-01-17 08:02:51 +0000 UTCThank you for your feedback. I have a feeling that everyone here knows what our content looks like having seen it at every place. The audience is out there. Most people just have no interest in paying.

2025-01-17 07:23:36 +0000 UTC$15 is well too high for an entry level membership, especially as there's no way of seeing the quality and style of the content. You need a sample tier for $5 or less that shows your work and even better would be a free public link to one of your comics. Considering how much content is out there, you need to demonstrate what it's value is if you want your audience to grow.

2025-01-17 04:20:53 +0000 UTCI've always been a fan of your comics and stories. After hearing about this, I knew I had to become a patron :)

2025-01-16 22:40:56 +0000 UTCThank you for your response. You already support us. I was reaching out to those who enjoy or stuff but have not been a paid supporter in a while. Hopefully some of those people can come back at least once or twice a year to help. But you are good. you do support and I see you here when you can.

2025-01-16 20:46:12 +0000 UTCThanks for the input, I understand that some people can't afford to continuously support and I expect those that support and then com back later. That's fine. Changing the prices of the tiers is not sustainable for a few reasons. inflation has caused some artists to charge more, I have not raised our prices since we started. Even though most things are costing almost 50%-75% more than when we started. The bigger issue is that if I were to change the prices at this point it would take me MONTHS and MONTHS to change all the rewards. Remember we have THOUSANDS of toons/comics at this point. I honor and respect what you are suggesting. however from a real- doing this site for years perspective its just a matter of getting another 50 people to help us get back on track., the alternative is a complete overhaul of the site, which is ridiculously time consuming. Time that would be crippling to impliment. at that point I might as well start a new site at that rate if I were to do that. See every post would need to be shifted to a new tier. It would take the better part of a month at 10 hours a day.

2025-01-16 20:41:23 +0000 UTCThee price point is too high and as a result I sign up every 4 months or so and catch up. There's fuck all out there like this, if you made it more accessible more people would sign up. Femdom and Beyond is a bad comparison because it's a different niche and frankly so little is actually posted on there that even at a low price point, it couldn't be considered good value. How many people can sink 50 quid into their fetish every month, very few? For me it's pretty simple economics, if you keep prices high you'll have fewer signups and therefore more people looking to leak/pirate the content because they can't afford to sign up. Lower the price, even for a month, see what happens? Hell, atleast release a poll for people saying whether they'd sign up if the max tier was say, halved in price, and then you can get a sense of how it compares to the current sub rate. If the sub rate was halved, I'd never unsub. As it stands, I'm on again/off again.

2025-01-16 17:55:16 +0000 UTCWith regards to femdom and beyond, for me that caters towards a different niche. I see your point about balancing price vs volume but I do think a lower price point here may help as I think this "fetish" has a wider audience, but perhaps om wrong and my experience is anecdotal!

2025-01-16 13:24:10 +0000 UTCI found Devin Dickie years before the patreon shadow banning adult creators happened i think that change is a contributing factor to this patron stagnation

2025-01-16 07:09:19 +0000 UTCThis month some unexpected expenses came up and I can't pay my subscription, I hope to be able to return to being a Patreon next month, I hope Qos Comix can overcome this bump, I really like your comics and I hope we can continue enjoying these erotic stories for longer.

2025-01-16 00:05:54 +0000 UTCIt might be that your competing with market expansion. More and varied content would cause customers to spread out.

2025-01-15 21:09:07 +0000 UTCI have many times considered lowering the prices, but it wouldn't serve to help. We have the Lower cost model of Femdom and Beyond. It doesn't seem to get many sign ups even in the 5 dollar tier level. Consider that if say I hada 5 dollar patreon, then I would need 10 times as many people to sign up, which frankly, I don't think would happen based on the size of the market. In the previous years we've been sustainable, before piracy was such regular occurrence we were able to balance our output with support. There was a time before we were pirated and everything was sustainable. I can't fight piracy. I've learned that the hard way. However its disheartening when we have such a small Sissy/cuckold/sph fanbase. I just hope that enough people begin to show up.
Devin Dickie
2025-01-15 20:54:16 +0000 UTCYour lowest tier is $15. Have you considered dropping your prices so more people would be willing to donate? I’m gonna be totally honest here. Fighting piracy is “Cutting of one’s nose to spite one’s face”. Moriarte lost me as a supporter because of his battle with piracy. Before you make assumptions. I’m not a pirate outside the free music you find on YouTube. lol
