Is Somber dead?

No, I'm not dead. I got through peak with great difficulty due to work putting me in a rather onerous position. Basically, I keep the robots at the warehouse running, so if something falls on the floor I have to go and get it. Clean up spills. Reset robots. Some times it's busy as heck and other times it's boring as heck. Normally it's not that bad... but since December I was one of two people able to do it. Which meant I was doing it all the time. Some times I'd have to do it five or six days a week if the other person didn't show up. So needless to say, most weeks I've been pretty exhausted.

It also doesn't help that I'm dealing with issues with rent and health. My apartment's new landlords want an outrageous price for the place. I need to move out, but can't till my lease expires, so that's been weighing pretty heavily on me. I'm also struggling with getting things done. Since I lost Panda, work has been my time definer. When I don't work, I have trouble doing anything. And I need to do things. I don't want to be unable to write.

I still haven't quit Homelands, but the fact is covid did a number on me in 2023 and it's been s struggle. I'm trying to build up my writing chops again. Thank you so much for sticking with me in the meantime.

Fortunately, with the help of a friend and many of you I'm working on a story. I started it a few years back, but I'm updating it with a twist. The story is about a prince transformed into a princess and starts on a path that changes the world. It's also a bit of a city builder, and that's where all of you come in. During the story, Arias will get to make choices on how the city develops and what it turns into... and I'd like to leave the choices up to you. Any patron can vote, and please do.
