I hope Katie doesn't react to The Sixth Sense by herself. She will need someone to join her for that one.

Solo reactions are just as good, if I remember correctly Chi did that in the past before Hella joined. I say change it up sometimes, good job Katie.

Regarding: "Come back WITH your shield, or ON it..." was believed to have been spoken to the warriors before they went into battle.
The phrase implies that a warrior should either return victorious or die honorably in battle. Because if you returned without your shield, due to it's large size, would mean that you fled in battle. As it was too big to run away with. So if you didn't have it, it meant you dropped it and ran away. (Forbidden in Spartan Law) So you were labeled a coward and half your beard would be shaved off so everyone would know your shame.
And because of their large shield size, they were used as stretchers to carry the dead off the battlefield. So to come home On It was the greatest honor a Spartan could hope for. "A glorious Death in Battle for Sparta", it was thought to be the greatest honor for the warrior and their families.
Also, a grey haired man that was NOT on still on a battlefield fighting, was looked down upon, because it was assumed he didn't fight with enough courage (played it safe) and was seen in very low standing...

It was a real battle, tho there were 300 Spartans there were also about 7000 other city state militia and non citizen soldiers. The movie has that style because it was also based off a Frank Miller graphic novel and the movie is really faithful to the book and the illustration. The style is also because the whole tale is told by Dilios as an exaggerated account to inspire and invoke certain emotions in the soldiers around him. Leonidas says he hopes Ephilates lives forever because if you remember Stelios talking to Daxos when they see the persians landing he hopes he meets a warrior that can give him a beautiful death. Also tho Ephilates became a curse word in Greece and to be associated with that name was the greatest insult so that is another way he lived on in a sense

Ahhh, got my Katie fix for the week! YES! And to add to Piranther's comment above, most of the abs you saw were painted on the actors. LOL. The soldiers would have had armor all over their bodies, legs, arms, chest, and head and no capes!
Great to see you again, Katie!

Technically Leonidas didn't miss, he did exactly what he told Xerxes he would do. He proved that a even a supposed god-king could bleed, and in doing so you could see the utter horror for a moment on Xerxes face.

Katie and Ivy should team up and cover the movies they haven't seen. But, Chi and Hella have already seen.

That was a emotional rollercoaster and a nice surprise.🙂
Since you like the style of 300 so much, I recommend the movie Sucker Punch, also by Zack Snyder.
The movie has a similar visual style but the Movie theme is completely different.
I don't want to say more so as not to give away spoilers, but I think you'll would like the movie.
If you want to watch movies similar to 300, I recommend Clash of the Titans (2010) and Immortals (2011, with Henry Cavill😉).
Neither are as good as 300 but there are still very entertaining.
Both would definitely be fun reactions.
Your solo reactions are very entertaining, Katie, I'd like to see more of that.💜

Why Leonidas cursed Ephialtes with ''May you live forever''? So that he can never be granted the glory of dying on the battlefield like a true Spartan

The truth about the Spartan and other Greek soldiers is that they had superior armor, they didn't fight half naked like they do in the movie.
