Saber is a weird exception of a servant. Most servants will not retain memories between their summonings. They will only have memories of their life as a human before they died. But saber does retain her memories for reasons to long to explain in a comment.

2025-10-14 15:32:01 +0000 UTCThe Saber class is considered to be the most powerful class, which is why everyone has such a strong bias towards it. They expect the Saber class servants to be much stronger because as a baseline, they generally are in terms of stats.

He’s Zouken’s son and Shinji’s uncle. Rin called him “uncle” the same way you would call a close male family friend.

2025-10-14 09:23:01 +0000 UTCSo the Saber class in general has the highest performance among all the classes, highest stats, best class Skills, etc. As for individual servants yeah Gilgamesh is probably the strongest most of the time but keep in mind that Artoria has 1, never been summoned at her strongest in FSN and 2 even when she gained Rin as her master, she never fought Gil in that state nor did she get Avalon in that state either. A full power Artoria with Avalon might be superior to Gil. Heck in the movie interview for Heaven's Feel II Nasu implies that Salter and Gil would be a close fight.
