Not that she was wrong. He did want to sleep with her, but that wasn’t the only reason. Travis believed in balance, especially in a harem relationship. He had to ensure that every woman in his life got equal attention.
That was why he had intentionally distanced himself from Soo-Yeon for the past few days—right now, his focus was on Seong-Jin, someone he hadn't spent enough time with.
She told him she wanted to go to the movies. Travis had no strong feelings about it, but he agreed. He got dressed, making sure he looked sharp, and left his apartment.
' Not a fan of movies nowadays, but it is what it is, ' he thought as he stepped into his car and drove toward her dormitory.
Pulling up to the front, he leaned back and waited. A few minutes later, Seong-Jin stepped out, and Travis immediately let out a sigh, shaking his head.
She was wearing something dangerously revealing—a tight, short dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, with a neckline that left little to the imagination. It was the kind of outfit that would turn heads, and while he loved seeing her like that, he wasn’t about to let her walk into a public theater dressed like she was ready to perform at a strip club.
"Are you going to a strip club or the movies? Go and change," he said, his tone firm.
Seong-Jin pouted, about to protest, but the moment she met his sharp gaze, she knew better. Her thighs pressed together instinctively, and a shiver ran through her. Without another word, she spun on her heels and walked back inside.
As she climbed the stairs to her dorm, she felt a familiar heat pooling between her legs.
'I love a dominant man,' she thought, biting her lower lip as she fought the urge to touch herself.
A few minutes later, she returned in a more modest outfit—jeans and a fitted top. Travis gave her a once-over, nodding in approval before unlocking the car door.
They drove off, conversation flowing easily between them. By the time they reached the movie theater, Seong-Jin was smiling, holding onto Travis's hand as they walked inside, blending in like any ordinary couple—though they both knew there was nothing ordinary about what would come after.
As they stood in line for the tickets, Seong-Jin leaned into Travis slightly, a playful smirk on her lips.
"You know," she murmured, tilting her head up at him, "you didn’t have to make me change. I would’ve looked hot in that dress."
Travis scoffed, keeping his gaze forward. "You would’ve looked like you were trying to seduce every guy in the theater." His tone was flat, unwavering. "Not happening."
Seong-Jin let out a soft chuckle, eyes glinting with amusement. "Jealous?"
"Territorial," he corrected without hesitation.
Her stomach flipped at his response, heat curling at the base of her spine. She bit her lip, suppressing the urge to tease him further. Instead, she casually shifted closer, her arm brushing against his. "So, what kind of movies do you even watch?"
Travis exhaled sharply, his disinterest clear. "Haven’t really been into movies lately. Most of them are garbage."
Seong-Jin clicked her tongue, tilting her head in mock thought. "Then why’d you agree to come?"
He shrugged, his hand lazily adjusting the cuff of his sleeve. "You wanted to go."
A slow smile spread across her lips. "Aww," she cooed, nudging his arm, "are you saying you’re doing this just to make me happy?"
Travis shot her a side glance, his expression unreadable. "Don’t get used to it."
She giggled, leaning into him again. "Too late."
Travis shook his head, exhaling through his nose, but the small twitch of his lips betrayed him. His gaze flickered to the digital board above, scanning the available movies. "What are we even watching?" he asked, voice laced with mild curiosity.
Seong-Jin hummed, tapping a finger against her chin dramatically. "I was thinking horror."
Travis arched a brow. "You scream easily?"
She met his gaze with a slow, sultry smile. "Maybe. Guess you’ll have to find out."
Travis huffed a laugh, shaking his head. "You’re really a riot"
"Thats why you love me though" She winked, then turned her attention back to the front of the line, rocking on her heels as they inched closer to the counter.
After buying the tickets, they made their way into the dimly lit theater, surprised by the sheer emptiness. The only sound came from the distant hum of the projector and the occasional rustling of popcorn from a lone couple sitting a few rows ahead.
' Guess they weren’t lining up to see this,' Travis thought as he casually dropped into a seat in the middle of the row.
Seong-Jin followed, sliding in next to him, her warm presence brushing against his side as she clutched her bucket of popcorn.
"Wow, empty house." She glanced around, her voice laced with mischief. "Guess we have the theater to ourselves. Wanna do something dangerous?"
Travis smirked, stretching his legs out. "Sure, let’s at least see what the movie’s about first."
She huffed playfully but nodded, shifting forward in her seat as the screen flickered to life.
Within minutes, it became painfully clear that the movie was a disaster. It had all the clichés—a haunted house, flickering lights, a creepy old lady who probably knew too much—but none of the actual fear. The jump scares were predictable, the pacing sluggish, and the entire thing felt like a lazy rehash of The Conjuring and its endless spin-offs.
Travis sighed, running a hand down his face. This was a waste of time.
Seong-Jin caught the sound and turned to him with a teasing smirk. "Is that a signal?"
Travis leaned back, his arm resting on the back of her seat. "Sure, I guess."
Her lips curled as she shifted slightly closer, fingers playing with the hem of her shirt. ' Always wanted to try this,' she thought, her heartbeat quickening with anticipation.
With one last glance toward the nearly empty theater, she made her move.
