We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

2025-02-02 13:24:00 +0000 UTCWatching side by side, it's amusing to see how this show is adapted into Aussie English versus American English. While they're similar, there are quite a few differences in phrasing I notice while watching both our screens.

2025-02-01 07:31:22 +0000 UTCWhen I watched the second season a few weeks ago, the storyline around 011 was the one that intrigued me the most. I like how they executed that, making the audience think she’s another contestant only for her to be revealed as a soldier instead. It’s interesting to see the contrast between her and the pickpocketer from S1, both defectors from North Korea who ended up in the Squid Games, but on very different sides. Also, apparently the name Kang No-eul translates to sunset in Korean, whereas Kang Sae-byeok (the pickpocketer) translates to Sunrise. Wonder what the symbolism is there. Maybe it has to do with one shutting down eyes (taking lives) while the other provides hope (for her brother)

2025-01-31 09:48:11 +0000 UTCYikes, Gi-hun goes back. I was drawn to the little girl and felt for Kang No-eul not being able to find her daughter. Quite a twist she went to be a guard. Wondering how she got recruited to work there.

2025-01-30 23:11:34 +0000 UTCI think it was a great twist to discover that Number 11 is actually a guard and not a player. It shows us that even the guards take the offer because they, too, are in a desperate situation. This season has been giving us much more context, and this episode, in particular, gave us a deeper reason why some people end up becoming guards in the game. We've always seen them as masked, faceless enforcers, but we've never really humanized them. Giving us the backstory of the girl before revealing her true role made us empathize with her first, which was a nice narrative move. Now, it's time to brace ourselves for yet another round of those sick games.
