Oz is a snake the whole time lol but we can convince ourselves he can be good and this trap with Vic has been lying there the whole time to grab us.

2025-03-04 11:39:45 +0000 UTCThe brilliant trick is how we (the audience) fall for Oz’s game just the same as characters like Vic do. Oz is such a good manipulator and always knows how to say the right thing, to appease, to garner sympathy and loyalty. We root for him like he’s some kind of loveable underdog but he’s actually just a sneaky vicious predator. He knows people underestimate him and uses that to his advantage. He plays lame or dead to lure you in, then goes for the jugular. Sadly, his mother was right: he is a monster. He murdered two brothers just to have more of his mother’s attention to himself… straight up psychopath even as a child! The reason he never admits it out loud is not because he’s in some sort of denial or feels bad about it, it’s because he’s a malignant narcissist: it’s all about him, his needs, doing absolutely anything to make sure he comes out on top. All the terrible things he does are justified in his mind, and he just reshapes reality to fit his own narrative. Keeping his mother alive, mind trapped in her body, is a form of torture and control over her. He’s punishing her for not loving him enough. He knows exactly what he’s doing. If he actually loved her, he’d put her out of her misery. Then he makes the hooker play mommy-dress-up to tell him he’s a ‘good boy’… LOL, truly sick, twisted and perverted! Some serious mommy issues, ha ha! What a well-written villain... so great!

One of the worst villains and shocked that memory right back into the audience by showing that Oz literally did what Rex talked about with his mother. Looking for someone who needs a father figure and using them until its time to "let them go".
