Call of the Night S2 Episode 12

We hope you guys enjoyed the past 12 weeks, we're really hoping for a S3 to continue all the story lines they set up this season!

Them playing the season 1 ending instead of the new one was genius, as this song (Yofukashi no Uta) is the reason this manga/anime was created.

2025-09-21 17:14:27 +0000 UTCSuch an amazing wrap-up to it all! My 2 favorite highlights of the episode: 1) The moment when Anko genuinely breaks down crying was so well acted. It really felt like she'd been through it and you could really "feel" that she had a huge headache/hangover throughout the scene. 2) I really, really adore the way they closed the scene with Nazuna and Ko. They had the vampires talking about how it was clear that Nazuna was handling their relationship differently now that she's starting to genuinely have feelings for him and wants to handle it more maturely. But rather than hit us with the "set-up" or "expected" kiss, they have her feed off of him in private. Which on the surface seems "par for the course". However, in the past, Nazuna has very non-chalantly just fed on him regardless of the circumstance... even inviting or asking for it in front of his friends, etc. The ONE request he made of her at the start of their relationship was to not do it in front of other people because he thought it was embarrassing (especially after she explained that it's basically eating+intercourse for her). So her going out of her way to dismiss them out of the party, take him to a private place (not her home knowing that Anko was there), and then bite him... really feels like her truly respecting his boundaries as her partner. Side-note: Also super appreciate how much better she handled the teasing from the Vampire Coven! Her just calling them out on "Hey, don't tease us to much, alright?" with one of the classic cool-ass vampire shots... I was so surprised so I really appreciated that the whole Coven was caught off-guard too! Niko even apologized for them - which is totally not usual for her
