"Necessity is the mother of invention" is sort of Ryo's motto. He wants to do something, so he remembers some method and some physics from our world that can accomplish it using water, then he just practices it to death. It helps that no one told him it was impossible. And he's got a lot of mana and time. Water magicians in this world are considered the weakest of the elemental mages, so it's even more astounding to others what he can do.

2025-09-09 02:45:22 +0000 UTCNow that I've rewatched this episode, I've noticed something. Sera used magic (Wind Robe, I believe?) to enhance her speed, but didn't need to chant for that. Maybe an opportunity not only to teach Ryo how to use it, but for us to learn that elves know how to cast silently as well? I guess it could also be a mistake on the anime's part, but Ryo can do it, so maybe older-lived species like elves can too. Sera also didn't correct Ryo on his pronunciation of curry. Well, I'm probably reading way too much into it.

I love that Both Ryo and Lanore are comparing others to the fight they had and that she remembered him. I can't wait to see how that plays out. We didn't see where the "Hero" and his crew were. I wonder if maybe that's where Ryo is headed. I've really been enjoying this show. It's so cute! I like his dynamic with Sara, too. That was a great fight and her reactions were so cute! Can't wait for more! I hope we see him and Lanore fight again!

2025-08-29 18:43:07 +0000 UTCOur boy previously tried and failed to use water magic to speed himself up. It's one of his stated goals to get faster after fighting that demon girl. Now elf girl showed him how it can be done with wind magic. I suspect he will learn from her and get his water based speed boost soon.

XD I still think they get one thing wrong: Action with the weaklings is too long and spotlight on our boi too short. XD I want more water-shenanigans. lmfao If "Solo camping for Two" wasn't a thing, this would probably be the show I look forward the most to. :D
