I love Musical Battle Shojou... or whatever this is catogorically. Pretty Sammy/Doreimi Maho Shojou/Etc. Music is usually decent to awesome; the stories get weird AF; and the plot twists are great when they land. Thank you Macross 7 for making this genre possible.

2025-09-03 14:19:40 +0000 UTCSo a bit more on why the show didn't do well in the west, it did not get official subs until the fourth season got picked up by crunchyroll, and even then they did the subs for the previous seasons over time AFTER the fourth season. Also I am curious if you don't mind sharing what subs/release you are using for this episode? There were quite a few slightly different visuals I've never seen before throughout the episode makes me think it might have been the original tv release?

A scar that is in the shape of a 'forte'. A music symbol is an italicized, bold letter f found in sheet music that tells a musician to play that passage loudly or with strong energy. It's an Italian term meaning "strong" or "loud," and it helps composers convey emotion and create variations in volume within a musical piece. OHhh, you caught the Genjuro thing as one of those details. Yes. He did get jacked between the concert 2 years ago and current time. Which I only bring up in response to your rhetorical question so you know its not an animation error or something

2025-09-02 20:07:58 +0000 UTCSymphogear is woefully under appreciated in the west. And is the only reason i subbed today So. they got one season. Then they had a concert, and that was kinda it. But with the concert, and cd sales, etc they were able to convince the money people to get them a second season. Second season got a bunch of cds, a concert, and again enough funding for a third season. Each season (except for the 4th) was expected to be a series finale. Which just further contributes to Symphogears uniqueness.
