Personally. Hard disagree. The episode presented the main Villain's backstory pretty well and the art-style they used really did a good job of visualizing his perspective. I think the ending was a good cliffhanger for the next episode. And I don't really mind the lack of lyrics for the song either. The song had no lyrics in the manga either, so the animator and voice actors didn't exactly have much to work with here, so I find this acceptable.

The animation was just stills constantly, they decided to end the episode at a weird place for some reason AND they kinda messed up my favourite moment for this arc (my PFP wasn't done NEARLY enough justice, honestly taking this page straight from the manga would have been better) and the song was just the "la la la" again, instead of an actual song. The only remotely saving grace for this episode was the Voice Acting, they deserve credit for doing an amazing job, I'll give them that. Unless they somehow redeem themselves in the next episode massively, even as a mega fan of this series I'm checking out of Season 3, if I wanted still images the manga has this beat any day.

With how the gods of this world in actuality does not care about their worshipper. I mean even the act of killing innocent woman and children for gluttony is not enough for them to purify such behavior. Really tells you a lot about how the gods judge the morality of man
