2025-09-24 06:33:21 +0000 UTCA short introduction to the points for you as in the anime its only very briefly explained: Every program needs a certain amount of elements (jumps, figure, etc). Each element has a base point amount (ex. 4.2, the harder the element the higher the base point). The judge will rate your jump from -5 for a very bad executed element to 5 a very good element. This is called GOE and is very important. A +5 element can be double the point than a -5. If you fall you get a minus point. For our example of 4.2 a +1 will add around 0.5 to the base value. So the fall was bad but if she aced all the GOE on the other elements it still can get to a decent value. All the points will be added together and you get your final score. In higher levels you will also get points for the program (how clean you skate, do you match the rhythm of the music, body posture etc) but I think here it was not applied. Also there will be a split, for elements in the second half you get more points as you are already tired and normally do the hard jumps at the beginning.
