in regards to your point about him still seeing her weak, idk this whole season and even this ep felt like he had full faith in everyone. he wanting to give her a boost cause it's logical but at no point did i feel he thought her weak if anything he felt more like she obviously will win. ontop of his full trust in her being emperor the whole season and in the last big action episode

2025-09-24 17:08:14 +0000 UTCI'm glad they stepped up the animation for this episode. It offsets the slightly rushed feeling. I guess they intentionally didn't do much after the battle to keep the hype momentum? I'm not sure, I would have really liked to see a bit more. Maybe a whole ass episode more. It feels like this season had some pacing issues, but on the whole, I agree that this was a necessary arc to see Raphtalia's buildup. However, regarding the Siltvelt arc, I still feel that we wasted time there. At least, I don't see any immediate payoff. We didn't even see Raphtalia training. How were we supposed to know Raphtalia was this strong now? Even Naofumi still acts like Raphtalia is too weak, except for this final episode. Felt disjointed. Can't wait for season 5. I just hope that in the 5th season, they finally achieve consistency. It makes me sad to see such a good show have such glaring flaws. And in the end, we learned nothing about the old emperor or her weapon, why she looked like Raphtalia, nothing, and Naofumi is just like, This is Tuesday. I'm not sure if he struck me as hyper-focused or if he's turning into an orange cat.

All I was hearing, "Season 2 killed the show. Nobody's checking for this anymore." Room filled all the way up. Fanbase is still here. I guess to keep with the theming...looks like Shield Hero will get to 'Finish The Story'
