I don't know about anyone else, but I think at least a little question as to whether Jinu intentionally left his family, or whether he wasn't permitted to bring them. There's not much you can do if the king in that type of era says no. The guards wouldn't let them pass and that isn't on Jinu. I'm not sure how twisted the story got in Jinu's head after 400 years of being tormented for something he may not have had full agency in. This is definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Me and my sister watched it because we wanted to see what the hubbub was about and were pleasantly surprised when it was actually /good/. I hope any sequels are equally as good.

I figured it was just insert marketing to kpop stans but probably brainless fun film and then it just hit all the right notes? nothing i havent seen before but all the cliches just blended flawlessly and has me saying surer make 10 more and somehow it has soul lol
