A Wild Last Boss Appeared Episode 2 Live Reaction (FULL)

I find Dina's actions very contradicting. Just last episode, Dina was telling us to hide our identity because Lufas is such a feared individual but it's not like anyone outside of long-lived elves would remember which, sure, made sense up a point. However, the short-lived commoners in some the village out in the boonies wouldn't remember, they probably went through at least three generations in last 200 years so not sure what's the harm of telling them Lufas' name when the only concern was money and they have already handed that over. Why even fake our name and permit when Dina supposedly could've just Jedi mind trick the guard into letting us in? And in the second half of the episode, Dina now mentioned that fear faded with time and Lufas isn't that hated... so which is it? Make up your mind, Dina!

I saw a lot of people in the comments of the first episode say that Dina is their favorite, and I have to say that I'm starting to understand them. She is so useful! She knows common knowledge about this world, she can teleport things, she can modify memories... How can this be a simple background NPC? Also, Rufas thought that she is definitely not a messenger from god, but honestly she might as well be. After all, she accepted the game prompt by the goddess, and she appeared through a hero-summoning ritual. I'm starting to think that this was not a mistake.

I just started watching this today... I know nothing about this anime or manga. I already love it. I didn't watch the ending song before watching your reaction. Watching the ending and how you mentioned, who the studio's favourite character is, something clicked in my mind. Like I said, I don't know nothing about this anime, but I think Dina is actually not the NPC she claims to be, but actually the goddess of the world. If it's true, it's because you calling her " competent Aqua" triggered this thought process. Also in the first ep. When Lufas talks about what the clerics say about the goddess, Dina says " that's not true" so she knows... I am just guessing but, I think there's a good chance for my theory...
