Plus Sized Kings- Chapter 5

Mac and Sean had just finished another round of their “Mindful Mondays,” a series that had turned into a delightful chaos of indulgence. Today’s adventure had involved an entire pizza and a mountain of garlic bread, their laughter echoing off the walls as they reminisced about their latest mukbang.

As the laughter faded, both boys felt a familiar pull to their rooms, a mixture of curiosity and apprehension guiding their steps. Mac headed toward his bathroom, while Sean ventured into his own, both drawn to the mirrors that awaited them.

Mac stood before the mirror, taking a deep breath. He flexed his arms and couldn’t help but chuckle at his reflection. Gone was the toned figure he’d once proudly displayed in countless selfies. Instead, he was met with a fuller face and a slightly rounded belly that peeked out beneath his favorite fitted T-shirt. “Well, hello there,” he said to himself, poking at his stomach playfully. The way it jiggled under his touch made him grin. “Guess those burgers are really doing their job.”

He stepped back, turning from side to side, admiring the new curves of his body with a mixture of pride and disbelief. “This is definitely not what I envisioned,” he mused, his green eyes sparkling with mischief. “But I can pull it off.”

Meanwhile, in his own bathroom, Sean was having a similar moment. He leaned closer to the mirror, noticing the slight softness of his cheeks and the way his jeans hugged his thighs just a bit tighter than before. “Man, what have we done?” he whispered, shaking his head with a smile. But as he examined his reflection, he felt a flutter in his stomach that wasn’t just from the food. He liked what he saw—his body felt different, and it was strangely exhilarating.

After a moment, both boys decided it was time to face the scale. They met back in the hallway, a playful tension crackling between them.

“Okay, let’s see the damage,” Mac said, feigning seriousness as he stepped onto the scale first. The numbers blinked for a moment before settling at 221 lbs. Mac’s eyes widened, then burst into laughter. “I’m officially the heavyweight champion! This is wild!”

Sean followed suit, climbing onto the scale and watching the numbers settle at 215 lbs. He chuckled, shaking his head. “I guess we’re both doing this thing right. Not too shabby for a couple of guys who were all about salads a month ago!”

They both grinned, but as they stepped away from the scale, a moment of contemplation washed over them. Sean ran a hand through his hair, noticing how long it had gotten, his stubble starting to grow back after weeks of neglect. “Man, we need to clean ourselves up,” he said, gesturing to his reflection. “I feel like a caveman.”

Mac laughed, nodding in agreement. “And you know what? I’m actually okay with it. This feels… liberating. We’re living life on our terms.”

As they exchanged playful jabs about their newfound scruffiness, a sense of camaraderie enveloped them. Mac poked Sean’s side, where a soft curve had developed. “Look at you! I can’t believe you’ve got a little belly going on. It’s adorable.”

Sean playfully swatted Mac’s hand away, but there was no sting in his gesture—only warmth. “Oh please, you’re not one to talk! I’d say we’re in the same boat, my friend.”

Their laughter echoed off the walls, and in that moment, they both felt a sense of acceptance—not just of their bodies, but of each other. As they admired their reflections, the playful banter turned into a deeper appreciation for how far they had come, both physically and in their friendship.

“Let’s embrace this,” Sean said, his voice steady and confident. “We’re in this together, right?”

“Absolutely,” Mac replied, a hint of something unspoken flickering in his eyes. “Together all the way.”

They stepped back from the mirror, the day’s indulgences still lingering in their minds, and headed back into the living room. A new adventure awaited them, and they were ready to dive in—bellies full and hearts open.
