What have I been working on?
Added 2025-09-21 18:26:24 +0000 UTCSo, it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, because, to be honest, there wasn’t much to say. There still isn’t but maybe writing down my plans will actually make me keep following them.
What have I been working on?
DeaDia:
- I am close to done with editing Chapter 16. Expect it to land somewhere in the next few days.
- The draft of chapter 17 is nearly finished. Currently, I am working on the final (or maybe pre-final) scene. The wait between 16 and 17 will be shorter than the one between 15 and 16 (and surely a lot shorter than the wait between chapter 6 and chapter 7 😇)
- I’ve started plotting for chapter 18, but that one is just in its first stages.
The College Girl Next Door:
- I’ve been gathering ideas for a sixth chapter of the adventures of Sam (and Emily and Hailey). No timeline there yet, just a very rough outline of a plot. This will probably not arrive any time before DeaDia 18
Other stories:
- Literotica has announced a halloween contest, and driving home yesterday, I got inspiration for a nice MFF story.
New series:
- So, I’ve also been plotting the outline of a whole new series. The story of this one is a little less open-ended than DeaDia is at the moment, with actually a determined end goal. It will be a fantasy story, exploring a society that has banned all forms of pleasure and a banished god trying to corrupt a novice into letting them get back into the world. As a small teaser, I’ve added the rough draft of the first few paragraphs to this post.
Enjoy!
…
“Look, brother Thomas forgot to close the door. I dare you to enter the forbidden section,” Beatrice whispered. They had to be silent here in the library. Even if at this moment it was just the two of them, breaking rules was always punished. Being loud in the monastery meant some extra days in the kitchen, scrubbing pots and pans. Something Kayla and Beatrice knew only too well.
“Only if you join me,” Kayla whispered back. She knew the other novice always liked to instigate trouble. And then, when Kayla was caught, Beatrice was nowhere to be found. Not this time.
“Okay, quickly, before brother Thomas gets back.”
The enticing black door was closed, just like it always was. But this time, the huge iron padlock that kept any unwanted visitors out was hanging open.
What could be so interesting that it had to be kept behind a padlocked door? The question had been on her mind ever since the first time she saw the black door in the library. What texts could a monastery have that were so secret, they had to be locked away? She knew this was a temptation, and temptations were against Castus’ teachings. But if she was one thing, it was that she was a bad novice. Other acolytes of her age had already climbed to the upper ranks or left the monastery to spread the word of Castus. Not her though. She got distracted by earthly desires. She had too many questions (and Sister Agnes did not have enough satisfying answers). Kayla knew she was not supposed to give in to this temptation. She was supposed to sit and study. And then, when brother Thomas was back, remind him to lock the door. But sitting her was boring and the temptation was high. This would be her only chance to look into the hidden texts. And even if they were boring, she could lay her curiosity to rest and keep focusing on studying Castus’ holy texts.
Older novices had rumoured that the black door held all kinds of forbidden texts. That it held poetry and fictional writings. New words that would help people stray from Castus. Whatever it held, Kayla wanted to see for herself. She tiptoed to the door of the library, listened until brother Thomas’ footsteps had retreated and padded up to the black door.
“You coming?” Already she saw the hesitation on Beatrice’s face. “C’mon, this is our only chance.”
