ADDON PACKAGES FROM OTHER AUTHORS
Added 2020-06-29 18:29:09 +0000 UTCvamX does not require any AddOn Packages for basic use.
If you download these AddOn Packages, you will have more Scenes, Looks and Plugins you can use with vamX. The C&G Studios scenes for vamX also require the AddonPackages here.
1) Download the two Mega folders OR the two Direct Download .zip files.
2) If you downloaded zipped files unzip/extract the zip file(s).
3) Place all .var files directly into your VaM/AddonPackages folder. DON'T unzip the .var file contents, .var files go directly into your AddonPackages as .var files!

You can also download the vamX Voice Effects Pack: GoFile, Direct, or Mega (not required). If you want to be able to enable female voice effects from the Sound tab, download the vamX Voice Effects Pack. The vamX Voice Effects Pack isn't included in the AddonPackages.
Some pages of the vamX UI show "AddOn" in the left side. On these pages, any items with a creator's name require AddOn Packages. Also, individual items marked "AddOn" require the AddOn Packages.
AddOn Packages depend on other AddOn Packages. To make it easier, I've created a single folder of all packages that can currently be used with vamX, including all dependencies.
This folder is public, free, and can also be used without vamX. This is a great set of starting AddOn Packages for VaM that don't throw any errors!

When downloading somehow the file name is getting changed to: AddonPackages\vamX.Base.1 (2).var First of all, you can try to just rename the file to vamX.Base.1.var If that doesn't fix it, download it to some empty folder so that your browser doesn't change the name.

2025-01-05 06:07:22 +0000 UTCThis error indicates that you either: 1) You didn't put vamX.Base.1 directly into your AddonPackages folder (not in a subfolder, it should be VaM/AddonPackages/vamX_Base.1.var). 2) The vamX.Base.1 file was corrupted during download, perhaps due to a slow connection. Just download it again, and make sure you put it directly into your AddonPackages folder without it being renamed or put into a subfolder.

2024-07-06 22:06:40 +0000 UTCIf you've downloaded the add on packages for vamx, from this page, then you shouldn't have missing packages THAT RELATE TO VAMX. You have probably also downloaded some other packages from hub.virtamate.com and those have other dependencies. sapuzex carwash will be hard to find, the others are easily found on the hub and should be automatically downloaded if you use Virt-a-Mate to scan for and download missing dependencies.

I'm missing kemanate.Decals.2, NoStage3.UnityAssetVamifier.18, sapuzex.Carwash_company.1 and vamX.Dollmaster_2_52.latest. Where can I get these, or is there a way to find what packages are referencing them and remove those?

When you put them in your AddonPackages folder, if they are with the exact same name/version as a package that already exists, it will ask you to overwrite. You should say yes. This is because some of these packages have been edited or modified to maximize vamX compatibility, or even just with bug fixes that were present in the original package, but are fixed in the version you can download here. As long as the original was in your Virt-a-Mate/AddonPackages folder, and you put these in there also, you won't end up with duplicates or extra hard disk usage.

I've also added an option to download the AddonPackages for vamX 0.9-1.4 folders from Mega, so perhaps try that, it let's you download the files all together or individually and that may be more reliable if you have a slow internet connection.
