Meguido's Report #6

IMPORTANT NOTE -This post shows in no way relation to Versus X Studio. This is just the personal opinions and thoughts of Meguido-

Hey everyone!

I don't want to make this one too long even tho there's been a long time since my last report but unfortunately I have almost no time right now.

Anyway to the point:

During this time I've been basically working at full time in Bioasshard until the last few days. So some progress has been made. The enemy has now AI, he reacts to hits and he can *die* (yeah zombies can die... I guess). Maybe he's too smart to be a zombie, because instead of just chasing the player, he'll even investigate when he hear any noises close to him (this will happen when there's no target on his view of course otherwise would be ridiculous xD).

I still have to implement the most interesting attacks y'know hehe. Right now Jill has no hit reaction (but still can die) and that's because I'm now trying to get the Jill 1.5 ready. I don't really want to bother adding a hit reaction to that first version of jill that will get soon replaced with the new one.

As you can see in the screenshot some things have changed and some things were added (look at the hud). They will have its explanation when the time comes.

So right now for Bioasshard I'm working in finishing up the Jill 1.5 version configuration and animations (including BlendSpaces and Aim Offsets) before adding the sex attacks to zombies.

I've also been working on Punished Mai / Gold version. Basically didn't have some important stuff on mind when adding the new game +. But still looks like nobody noticed... don't know what to think from this but yeah because Versus X found the bugs, I'm working on fixing them.

To be honest I don't know how much time it will take even more now with some shit rl stuff we've come to. This will reduce our time to work on the projects drastically (yeah because we're not making any life of this as you can guess :( ) for the next week or so. Anyways that's up to Versus X to inform you about. Right now in Punished Mai I'm retrieving some info from maps and self switches that was a bit hard to figure out (specially when I'm getting used to ue4's programming and having to swap back again to ruby xD).

So this is basically what I've been doing the past days/weeks. And now back to work.

But before leaving I just want to share some thoughts I've had recently. I realized (or that's what it looks like from my pov) that to success in making a live out of Patreon/making games (dunno if that can be called that way) you have to show just boobs moving around in a map with close cams to them (even if they're censored lol) in a X min vid. That will grant you thousand of dollars in a matter of hours. I wonder if the people who throw their money at that think about what is really shown and what the aiming target of that is... "to make a game". Sometimes this is even worse where the game is a "RPG". Basically a no-where-near-small project that only shows boobs running around with nothing else related to gameplay. That makes me feel bad. I'll say this pretty clear, of course I'm not insulting the job of anybody. Because even tho I'm not giving names, maybe someone can guess about what I am talking specifically. And to those I have to say those boobs running around are probably the best ones I've seen so far in a "game". What I am talking about it's not about the quality but about spectations and people's reaction. Looks like that if you say you're making games; then make games, complete games and show gameplay of a wip game instead of just... the so called boobs xD, it's not worth for the majority of people, even tho they're suposedly expecting/supporting games/games creation (this is my very personal rant). Then I see people crying over at someone just milking the support and making no game at all and makes me think about all this again... Obviously I'm not saying this gonna be the case (for the one I'm not giving the name y'know xD). I really expect that game to come to fruition because I really want to play it for the graphic look of it.

I really hope to get that attention from people when the Bioasshard playable beta gets released but then again this rant I just had about a game showed me that you don't even need a playable beta to get attention from people. With just a short video with a basic gameplay of walking/running you can get top attention... unless I'm involved of course (<- this is what I'm starting to think to be honest) :/
