Development Report 9/26/2019

Hi Patrons!

Mr. Versus X here with a new dev report for you. Let’s start…


Next target >> Public release

Ok my people, all is finished, all Patreon releases are done; We’re only missing the public release that will be next week according to the schedule.

While the date comes, I’m preparing a small teaser to promote the comic here and there. When it’s done, I’ll publish it here too.

And with all done, it’s time to move on to the next OIU project; as we announced on a previous dev report this project is:


Next target >> Finish the project and First release

Meguido and I have been talking a lot about what stuff we can do to improve this project while it maintains its simplicity. We came with a lot of ideas to implement to make The Case of T + a more complete project.

After that, we tested some of the stuff decided and all works correctly…

So, we continued making changes, being the first one the resolution upgrade from 720 to 1080. We have resized all the scenes to this new resolution an all are ready to render.

I have fixed the handjob scene. It had a problem with the camera on the second render that, due to time constrains, I didn’t fix on the original release.

All sexy fragments will be expanded with more renders. These new images are ready to render right now.

I also have updated the color on Tefa’s clothes, so now she looks like in OIU with her red tank top.

A new scene (anal) will be added too. This scene is divided in two parts and both are ready to render too.

And that’s all for now about this project.


Next target >> Release next version (Ver. 0.2.xx)

I returned to asset making once again… well this was more like asset finishing or fixing. I’m talking about the blue herb 3D model. I’ve updated it with more foliage on it to make it look better.

And after that, it was time to paint textures, once again, now for this asset… You can’t imagine how much complicated this was; We used 3 different methods to do the textures for the different parts of the asset (leaves, pod and filler leaves).

And continuing with painting stuff, I painted some new ‘masks for cool graphical stuff that Meguido is working on.

Oh, and finally I did some sound research to finish the week.

Next target >> Re-introduction of the project / Show how the game will look

After deciding the overall look for the game, we move on to decide how the characters will look. We’ve been making various tests and discussions about how they have to look to express what we want to transmit with the project, and finally, we have reached a consensus.

So right now, we have the overall look, how the maps will look and how the characters will look but… we're missing one part: their faces.

We have some ideas of how we want the faces to look, but we still need to test some stuff, specially to find a work pipeline for those.

Meg was also doing some stuff.

A short report is here.
So, I’ve been working a lot on mainly two projects, Bioasshard Arena and Omnia In Unum.
For OIU I’ve been continuing the work I was doing since the past report, so I won’t go into any more details just that it’s progressing as expected for now.
And for the next Bio Arena version, well, I kept fixing and working on some stuff, while working on the cerberus:
· The Infection System (the real name for the inflation and its related mechanics) has been completed. So, what you’ll get in the next release is how the system will be (unless any future ideas come to mind and we decide to make some change/s). This also means that the blue herb mesh is no longer a place-holder because it’s been finished as well.
· A bit more of that aesthetic new system implementation has been done, with some stuff made by Mr.Versus and some other made by me.
· I’ve been doing some optimizations to the skin material. That’s what the last ScreenshotSaturday was about. Maybe you noticed that in the exterior area, Julia tends to lose her eyebrows in different parts and there’s also some strange shadows appearing when there’s a Sexttack mainly in Julia’s body. So, to fix this and to reduce the texture samples used, I decided to make a complete overhaul of that material.

· And last but not least; the character customization screen has been finished too, look at this:

Well this is a small section to talk about how we waste the mo… err no, no more M word here… … … this is an informative part of the post to inform you about how we invest your support.

We’ll be doing this from time to time

Normally all the support is wasted on RL stuff (paying to Meg, pay stuff, buy stuff, health stuff, etc.) but if we save something, we buy stuff needed for the ‘VXS work’ and this is what we’re talking about on this section. 

A bit of transparency doesn’t hurt.

The first investment has been on my work area. I've got rid of my old work area (a plain table) and bought, not one, but two new office desks. With this and the help of Meg and a friend we have reconstructed me work area with more space and more clear and now with the second table I have a place for Meguido to come here to work with me hand to hand (the downside for this is that with Meg here I can’t procrastinate looking at sexy cosplayers photos on twitter :P) we also got some cheap portable air conditioner to avoid dying working during the summer. 

With all of this, this place is starting to look like an office ^^ Thanks to all of you for making possible all of this.

On future posts, we’ll be talking about software, assets, plugins and other cool stuff that we’ll buy for the projects.


And this is the end of this post… Oh wait I forgot about this. As you can see, we’re doing changes here and there, specially on the Patreon page, with the new header, new avatar, organizing the featured tags, changing colors etc. These kinds of small changes/updates will continue in the upcoming months on our different sites.
