New Releases

[CGMZ] Scan - This plugin adds a scan skill to your game, which can scan an enemy and provide useful information during battle. It can provide things such as the enemy's current hp and mp and flavor text. Further, this plugin integrates with [CGMZ] Encyclopedia to discover enemies when they are scanned. Alpha Updates

[CGMZ] Scene Backgrounds - This plugin received an update to add tint and opacity options for your backgrounds, so now you can have different colored backgrounds without needing to make them a separate image. This works for both static and scrolling backgrounds. The code was optimized a bit for loading the background image as well. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/81531935

[CGMZ] Currency System - This plugin was updated to add the ability to make armor have a gold double effect on custom currencies. This update also added window tone, opacity, background, and windowskin options for the currency bag scene. Finally, this update should make the plugin much more compatible with third party plugins. [CGMZ] Gathering - This update added expired node stages! Now you can have nodes expire that will then award different items to the player and have the option of an exp penalty when harvested. This is meant to simulate a crop that may have died from not being harvested in time. You can also now advance every node of a certain type's stage, and fixed a lot of bugs such as not always selecting the most optimal tool the player had for the harvest. [CGMZ] Battle BGM Control - This update added class themes, now you can have the chance to play specific BGMs depending on which classes the actors are that are partaking in battle. It also fixed a bug that could have caused certain themes to be more likely to be chosen than others if they had multiple ways to satisfy their criteria. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/73309682

[CGMZ] Quest System - This update added the ability to start a discovered quest from the quest log. Previously, the player had to go to the quest giver to start the quest. Now, if they have discovered but not yet started the quest, they can choose to start it from the quest log. You can also now always show completed quests' objectives as complete, regardless of if the objective was actually completed during the quest. You can pin quests directly from the list window, and prevent completed/failed quests from being manually pinned. Window tone, padding, opacity, and windowskin options were added for each window. [CGMZ] New Game Plus -  This update added a New Game Plus scene, which is a simple scene prompting the player to confirm if they want to start a new game plus or not. You can also now run a common event when a new game plus is started, allowing you to event anything that should reset on new game plus not already available via plugin params. Beta Updates

[CGMZ] Treasure Maps - This update added a way to show different toasts per map, with the previous toast settings being the fallback in case the map does not have unique toast settings. It also added window tone, opacity, padding, and windowskin options to each window. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/64909830

[CGMZ] Light Effects -  This update added proximity lights. These are lights that automatically turn on or off based on the distance they are from the player. Keep in mind that they still need to succeed other visibility checks, such as if the global light setting is on and the light id is not disabled. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/57452022

Free Updates

[CGMZ] Game Info - This update added some options for the bottom text, including font face and the option to draw a rectangle behind the text. Buttons were also changed to allow control over their opacity and cursor change, as well as to allow custom JS to run when clicked. This should allow you to use these buttons as more than just social media buttons, potentially using them to create your title commands if you want to use pictures. [CGMZ] Toast Manager -  This plugin received a minor update to enable text codes in the default text toast type. It also added pitch/pan/volume parameters to the sound effects of text and image toasts. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/toastmanager/

[CGMZ] Crafting - This plugin received some bug fixes for the multicraft window allowing the player to attempt to craft fractional items, as well as how it would make room for Touch UI buttons even if the touch ui was disabled. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/crafting/

[CGMZ] Core - This plugin was updated with some better control over the headers you see across various CGMZ plugins and some other utility functions for other CGMZ plugins. As always, it is recommended to keep this plugin up to date as other CGMZ plugins rely on it. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/core/

[CGMZ] Achievements - This update added custom reward descriptions, for things manually awarded (such as via common event). It also added window tone, opacity, padding, and windowskin options for each window. Header line gradient color is now customizable. Text codes are now supported everywhere in the plugin. This update also moved a lot of unnecessary data out of the save data and involved a major refactor of the code. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/achievements/

[CGMZ] Exit To Desktop - This plugin was updated to add options to hide the Exit command in each potential window it can appear in separately. It also fixed a bug with resizing the windows for the command in browser deploys. Link: https://www.caspergaming.com/plugins/cgmz/exittodesktop/

[CGMZ] Extra Stats - This update adds a lot of new statistic tracking, such as the amount of times an actor has died, amount of times an enemy has been defeated, and tracking for the amount of each individual item sold/bought/used. [BGM] The Great Trees - This is a forest theme meant for some wooded area in your game. You could use this either for a peaceful forest or some kind of forest dungeon. It could also be used for a small town in a forest setting. Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/bgm-great-trees-105598554

Other

As always, there were numerous polls that came and went during this month. The next standard size plugin was voted on with the winner being [CGMZ] Recruitment Board. The next small plugin was voted on with the winner being [CGMZ] Footsteps.

Casper Gaming now has a new alternate logo as well, with an owl esport feel to it. It can be seen at the top of this post. This is not intended to replace the main dev corner logo, but will be used as an alternate logo in the future where it makes sense.

There are some improvements coming to the website, as a result you may have seen Casper Gaming go down for maintenance, this is a normal part of working on websites and will likely continue.
