Dakimakura & FPS Model Update

Here are the two latest updates:

1.The dakimakura is now successfully in stock and available for purchase!
We’ve also launched a little event: if you purchase any items from the BBQ Booth store between May 1st and July 10th,
you can attach your purchase screenshot via the link above and join a poll.
We will randomly select 10 lucky participants to receive either a Steam CD key for Nebel or a Dlsite gift card for Motion Animation.
The main reason for this campaign is to hear what kind of physical merchandise everyone would like to see BBQ make in the future.

2.The heroine model for our FPS has been updated… yet again.
This time we used new modeling techniques to improve the facial details.
With our custom UE pipeline, the dragon girl now looks great from every angle (the previous version looked awkward from certain views and wasn’t close enough to the original concept art).
It’s not finalized yet, but we wanted to share the progress. Huge thanks to our FPS modeling team!

2.FPSのヒロインモデルがもももももも一度更新されました。
今回は新しいモデリング手法を取り入れ、顔の細部をアップグレードしました。
BBQ社独自のUE用パイプラインと組み合わせることで、龍娘を360度どこから見ても可愛仕上げられるようになりました！（以前のバージョンは角度によっては可愛く見えなかったり、原画に似ていなかったりしました）
まだ最終完成ではありませんが、とりあえず進捗を皆さんにお見せします。FPSのモデリングチームの努力にも感謝！

Recently, BBQ’s emotional state hasn’t been as stable as before. While I'm feeling calm enough to type this now, I was quite anxious over the past few days.

Looking at it rationally, one of the reasons is the fear that the final product of Shinkan RPG might not live up to expectations.
After all, this project has been delayed for so long, and everyone has really high hopes now — it’s impossible not to feel pressure.

Honestly speaking, considering the full content of Shinkan RPG, selling it for 2200 yen is not expensive, maybe even a bit cheap.
But BBQ still wants the project to feel like it’s more than worth the price.
Maybe someone will be inspired to start making eroges themselves after playing BBQ’s game.
Even if that reason sounds absurd, BBQ is determined to fill in every detail as best as possible.
We truly hope more high-cost-performance games appear in the market — why have eroges become as expensive as Japanese rice lately?

Another reason is… well, being broke.
BBQ has been living in full OTAKU mode since around the end of last year (maybe even earlier):
no spending unless absolutely necessary, no going out unless absolutely neces-sary.
The financial situation isn’t healthy enough to splurge, and it’s been about half a year since BBQ last paid themselves.
Our tax accountant said it’s normal for a company owner to pay out-of-pocket to keep things going, so BBQ has been doing just that.
Every tax bill is paid properly, but not a yen goes to personal salary. It feels like working for the Japanese government on one’s own dime.
Luckily, living in the countryside keeps costs down.
Recently, BBQ bought a small desktop PC to act as a server, so the main PC can take a break and save a few thousand yen a month on electricity (Japan’s elec-tricity prices are no joke).

With Shinkan RPG entering its final sprint, CG production speeding up, and on-going expenses for the FPS project (the heroine model was just updated again — and the money spent on FPS over two years could’ve bought two decent used cars),
BBQ is constantly haunted by the idea of “not being able to afford rice.”
But don’t worry — it’s just a figure of speech.
In reality, BBQ has secured a stockpile of rice. It makes great fried rice too, since it’s low-moisture.

Anyway, with release targeted for mid-November, just half a year of hardship left.
BBQ has been through tough times before — this is nothing.
To everyone reading this: do your best in your own lives too.
If you’re still a student, aim for a stable job in the future. Don’t end up like BBQ — working without pay out of your own pocket.

(If all 100 dakimakura sell out this time, even if there’s still no money for salary, BBQ wants to treat themselves to some aged steak.)

其實最近BBQ的情緒似乎沒以前那麼穩定，現在打字這會兒恢復了但前幾天一直挺焦慮的。

冷靜下來分析一下，原因之一擔心神官RPG成品是否能讓大家滿意（畢竟這企劃難產那麼久，現在大家產生了特別高的期待，講真沒有壓力是不可能的）。

平心而論神官RPG的最終體量，賣2200這個價格是不貴甚至有些便宜的。但是BBQ還是希望能讓這個作品做到更加的物超所值，說不定就有誰會因為玩了BBQ的遊戲受到啟發也決定去做黃油的。哪怕是出於這種有些荒誕的理由，BBQ也會盡力的去填補細節。當然BBQ也是真的希望市場上多點性價比高的作品，怎麼這兩年黃油也漲價漲的跟日本大米一樣猛。

另外的原因應該就是——窮。
BBQ大概去年年底起就啟動了完全OTAKU模式（可能更久之前），突出一個非必要的錢我不花，非必要的門我不出。
因為資金狀況實在沒健康到能讓BBQ揮霍的程度，甚至好像都半年沒給自己發工資了。稅理士說老闆自己墊錢給公司很正常，所以BBQ這半年就一直保持這個狀態。該交的稅一個不差，但就是不給自己發工資。這感覺自己像是在給日本政府打工一樣，自費上班。也就是多虧了BBQ住鄉下，花不了幾個錢就能解決吃喝。最近BBQ還買了一個小型主機，用來當伺服器。有了這個台式機就可以休息了，每個月又能省下來幾千日元電費。（日本這個電價是真的貴）

尤其最近神官RPG也進入最後衝刺階段，隨著CG製作速度的上升和FPS的3D開銷（你看我們最近又給FPS的女主角模型做了更新，光這小2年折騰FPS的錢都夠買2輛不錯的二手車了），BBQ就一直處於一個擔心自己哪天要吃不起米的狀態。
當然大家不用真的擔心BBQ沒錢，只是一個比喻，而且現實里BBQ也搶到儲備米了。還有儲備米做炒飯挺好吃的，因為水分少嘛。

但再怎麼說11月中旬也就能發售了，這種苦哈哈的日子再堅持半年就over了，BBQ也不是第一次經歷困難時期了，這點挫折不算什麼。希望看到這裡的大家現實生活中也要加油，還在上學的就以後找個好工作，千萬不要變成BBQ這樣自費上班的人呀。

最近、BBQのメンタルは以前ほど安定していないようだ。今はタイピングできるくらいには落ち着きましたが、数日前まではかなり不安定でした。

冷静に分析すると、その原因の一つは「神官RPG」の完成品が本当に皆さんを満足させられるかどうかの不安です。
この企画は長い間難航してきたため、現在皆さんの期待が非常に高まっていて、正直プレッシャーを感じないわけがありません。

客観的に見れば、「神官RPG」の最終的なボリュームで2200円という価格は決して高くなく、むしろ安いくらいです。
でもBBQとしては、それ以上に「価格以上の価値」を目指したいと思っています。
もしかしたら、BBQのゲームをプレイして影響を受けて、誰かが自分もエロゲーを作ってみようと思ってくれるかもしれません。
そんな一見荒唐無稽な理由であっても、BBQはディテールをしっかり詰めていきたいと考えています。
もちろん、市場にもっとコスパの良い作品が増えてほしいとも心から思っています。
てゆうかこの2年でエロゲーの価格が、米みたいにどんどん上がっているのは一体なぜだろう...

もう一つの原因は――「岡根梨」のこと
BBQはたぶん去年末あたりから完全オタクモードに入りました（もしくはもっと前からかも）。
「必要でないお金は使わない、必要でない外出はしない」という生活スタイルです。
資金繰りが健全とは言えず、BBQ自身、もう半年も自分に給料を払っていません。
税理士には「社長が会社に立て替えるのは普通」と言われたので、この半年ずっとその状態を続けてきました。
税金はきちんと払ってますが、自分には一円も支払っていません。まるで日本政府のために自費で働いてる気分するｗ
田舎（東京以外全部田舎）住まいのおかげで、食費と生活費がそれほどかからないのが救いです。
最近、小型PCをサーバー用に購入しました。これでメインPCを休ませられるので、毎月数千円の電気代が節約できそう。（日本の電気代マジ高い）

特に最近は「神官RPG」もファイナルスプリントに入り、CG制作スピードが上がってきたことや、FPSの3Dモデル関連の出費（ヒロインモデルを更新したばかりで、ここ2年FPSに費やしたお金は中古車2台買えるレベル）もあって、BBQは常に「米も食べられなくなるかもしれない」不安と戦っています。
もちろん、本当にBBQが食費に困っているわけではないのでご安心を。あくまで例え話です。
現実には先週備蓄米を買っていて、チャーハンにするとけっこう美味しいですよ。水分が少ないからね。

とはいえ、11月中旬にはもう発売できるはずなので、この苦しい時期もあと半年だけ。
BBQにとってはこれが初めての困難でもないし、これくらいの試練は全然大したことありません。
ここまで読んでくれた皆さんも、現実で頑張ってくださいね。学生さんなら将来いい仕事に就いて、BBQのように「自費で働く人間」にはならないようにね～
