Too bad, the Mrs wasn't into it. Its one of my childhood favourites. Although, I was already aware of all the stories around Baron Munchausen prior to watching it, so it probably contributed a lot to my enjoyment. I would say, it's an adventure movie first, with a comedic background based on absurdity. I really loved how death was depicted, even if the puppet scarred me as a kid.
