The riots last night were over, the air was undisturbed, cold and pristine in the falling rain. It was a full moon over the streets of New Berlin blanketing its blue light. The distant constant whir of the NeoSov fighters were nowhere to be found. Surviving armored exosuits glisten in the orange glow climbing out of the crash site. They were cutted off from support, shot down in an dense unknown urban environment against an insurgency. The streets of New Berlin are empty. A horrid combination of old european gothic and soviet brutalist concrete smashed together with the remains of tank shells strikes on the walls. It been that way longer than you been around. One wrong swivel of the head leads to a squadmate being blown in half. The hell was that? That was no IED. Quick thinking and a dive behind a wall was the only thing stopping from sharing a fate with the smouldering asphalt crator. A thousand meters away on a rooftop, an angel of death peered under a thermo optic scope .

Raindrops fall down a holographic cloak tuned against a wet wall of poured concrete. Like a ghost an optical illusion was superimposed hiding the killer in a sea of wet neon lights. Only a delay in the movement of the droplets was the flaw of the smart fabric. She was aiming to fire again. It was one of them. An invader. A zealot. A ZOE android armed with a coaxial railgun that just vaporized a living human being with a bolt of plasma. Flanked on your side by the ZOE sniper, another exo with dual miniguns swung into the open road letting out an endless cloud of lead down the city block.

The ZOE was not preturbed, for her rifle was steady even with a wave of wizzing bullets crackling over her head. Her sights were set in, focused and locked in right into the screaming machine gunner in the middle of the road. It came like a purple flash of lightning. The shot splitted the air like a thundercrack breaking down store windows and triggering car alarms, turning everything down range from the mech into a spray of shrapnel and splashing molten metal from the impact. With just one shot the armored exosuit fell to the ground. Of course it did, theres no material on earth that can stop a 50 gram slug of plasma travelling at mach 486.

The Wraith. An android specialized in long range recon and assassination created by the machine cult of ZOE. Don't let her soft spoken and shy demeanor fool you, her work is cold and professional. The wraith is a stealthy sniper who takes advantage of concealment and ambushes to kill her target. Her unique sensor package allows her to see through thermo optic cloaking and detect a multiple of wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation making hiding detection near impossible. Their holographic fabric cloaks allow them to perfectly hide in plain sight, however a slight delay in the smart fabric creates a ghosting effect when the wraith moves.  Armed with a powerful armor piercing plasma railgun and a particle chainsaw kusarigama for close encounters, the Wraith is an incredibly dangerous adversary that prefers to fight alone.

If you don't know, this is an enemy design I decided to remake from a scrapped game concept idea I had ages ago. I like this design enough on its own. All my characters are from a book I am currently writing called NYAA, which Nicky is the main protagonist of, and ZOE is the main villian faction. This wraith enemy unit would had been a sniper enemy that locks down entire firing corridors and has to be fought at close ranges for you to have a chance. I dont know if I will do anything more with this model later but hey I think shes very cute cute.
