God DAMN this week was a fucking NIGHTMARE, though. We wanted to get a chicken sandwich, so we went through a drive-through. We pulled up to the first window, paid, and proceeded to drive to the next window... only for our car to just die. And not just die, but completely lock up. We couldn't turn it on. We couldn't shift gears. It was a 3,000 lb brick stuck in a restaurant's drive through during lunch rush. After an hour or so, the manager finally pulled his truck in to help jumpstart our car... which did nothing. We call for a tow truck, and it takes them another two hours to arrive. We were stuck in a fast food drive through for three hours. Eventually by hour two, we got out and finally received our food inside. Eventually though, we did get towed out and brought to a mechanic, though it was right at their closing time, so our car had to be left there and they had to drive us home.

It took them another 24 hours to diagnose and fix our car. Apparently a fuse overheated and blew out and just shut the whole damn thing down. That was $300 to fix (on top of $150 to get towed). But they also said that apparently our clutch is "chattering" and that would cost $3500 to fix??? Not something we can afford and it doesn't seem to put us in complete danger right, so we just... skipped that. Though I will say, it was scary as hell to be out in our woods for a full day without any sort of vehicle to get us out of it if something came up.

BUT, the car is fine now. It's back home, safe and sound, sitting in our yard and enjoying the sunlight. Our Nintendo Switch also finally got fixed and came back to us, and Leslie's enjoying some squids right now. Life is finally back to normal... Until the meteor hits, anyways.
