We're back! Thank you all so much for your support and patience. Just needed a little break, nothing major. We'll probably need to take a 2 week break after this scene is over in about 10 or so pages. We're almost over 50 pages in this chapter with a good bit still to go, so it'll be good to have a bit of a refresher. But that's for later!

Leslie and I got into Valve's Deadlock alpha test yesterday! We've been playing it together and hooboy. It's definitely not the TF2-like I was expecting. It's extremely MOBA and requires a pretty steep learning curve. Leslie's gravitated more towards the gameplay style than I have, but I'm willing to learn. The character designs are great, I LOVE the occult 1920s New York aesthetic... just need to find a gameplay style I actually click with. We'll definitely be following the game's progress and I can't wait to see how it develops. Also, great to play while watching sumo tournaments in the background, especially when you're waiting full-ass minute-long respawn times from dying too much like I am.

ALSO, HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY TO THE AMERICAN LAUNCH OF THE SEGA DREAMCAST! 9/9/99, BABY! WE'RE GETTING CRAZY ON PIONEER II TONIGHT

See you on Friday!

Well I saw it as fair warning. They know what’s coming is a trial by fire.

I love how Leslie draws character expressions. Poor Coral :(

Master Tigress

Suria, please protect Coral's smile

But... was this whole deal orchestrated to ascertain the strength of that bond? Seems like the kind of thing sketchy industry moguls might do.

This is the strongest found family ever.

I really love this about Suria's character. Yes she's a goober and a perv and airheaded at times, and hell, she's easily goaded into a fight, but she's not stupid. I hope the crew can tell how much she and Steg care about them, and appreciate them for walking this road with them. And I hope they keep walking this road together.
