#56 - The Terrible Salt

Adventure #56 is now out, "The Terrible Salt"! This one is a wilderness adventure set in a massively wide tidal flat. Adventurers will face an unpredictable landscape and a swarm of implacable predators—unless they take to the high ground and learn where the threats are.

For this one, I was inspired by a long-ago visit to Holkham Bay in Norfolk. There, beyond the dunes is an incredibly deep beach, so wide and flat that when the tide comes in it does so very quickly, slushing around you in little temporary rivers. It's not hard to find yourself cut off from the main beach, having to wade. Of course, this is all at a scale where there's little danger to adults; The Terrible Salt is the same thing with much more danger!

Thank you so much for supporting this project. In these troubled times, I'm cranking adventures out at a much slower rate than before, but hopefully the wait was worthwhile and you can find some use or inspiration from this for your table!

Nicholas! The adventures are all free on my blog; this Patreon serves as a tip jar! Whatever you sign up for is what you contribute when I publish an adventure—although it's been a while. If you want The Terrible Salt, just head over to: https://blog.trilemma.com/2023/03/the-terrible-salt.html ..and get the PDF. If you feel like buying something, there's always the compendium of the first five years' worth of adventures. They're all remastered, rewritten and fleshed out with things like rumor tables and gazetteers of the overland regions. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/286792/trilemma-adventures-compendium-volume-i

Probably a very silly question Michael, I am a Patreon for two adventures a month but I can't see where I am supposed to go to buy one adventure - this one

Great to see another adventure from you! I really enjoy the format and the content.

Hugely exciting to see another Trilemma adventure! I love this one– the environment is imaginative while also feeling natural. And the Salt Lords and Brides are some genius fairytale horribleness.
