August Poll - Dreaming of more
Added 2024-08-07 12:33:03 +0000 UTCWith the release of the game to Prom Attendees members of Patreon (check out the discord channels or send me a message for the link) comes the latest poll of the game. And as the latest update suggested, this month's Patreon contribution is all about dreams.
And so, the poll will be just a way for us to track that progress with the dreams that you suggest be added to the game (500 words max).
So long as these dreams respect Patreon guidelines, you're good to go! So let your imagination flow and suggest your dreams! You each get one <3

The way you describe it sounds pretty good. If she then wakes up after the dream and you as the player still have the opportunity to make a decision. For example, do I like action X in my dream or not? Can I imagine doing something like that with Yara in real life? Yes or no. And you also get points for the various attributes, which could improve this even more.

2024-08-08 01:08:38 +0000 UTCThat's a wise and appreciated comment. I'm mostly looking to use these dreams as conduits to show the MC's state of mind. Every suggestion I'd get here will be purposed in a way to serve the story first and foremost. Okay, sure, I just had a steamy shower with Yara, but never had the chance to deal with that... How does it really feel for me and a character? The choices might not be relevant in such scenes since they don't impact other characters, but the dreams will have narrative importance. At least, the way I'll be utilizing them in my game. Otherwise, it really depends on what kind of things your collective minds come up with. Do you want to see the MC think about a random stranger she saw on the street? The dream is a way to do that.

2024-08-07 13:14:21 +0000 UTCPersonally, I'm generally not a fan of dream sequences in games like this. That doesn't create any immersion for me, because it's not "real" anyway. Several games have already tried this and I never liked it. In my opinion, the energy for development could be channelled into other areas. But I'm sure there are also people who like it and are happy about it. So it's all good.
